apple.com allowing me to add new iPhone to Verizon account with unlimited

Do you have a family plan or an individual plan? Another poster here was able to add a UDP line by decreasing his number of minutes. He has an individual plan.

What exactly is the name of the plan you have?

Aw, what do you mean? My Moto X runs buttery smooth. Best phone I have ever had except for the camera.

I have the former, no need for the latter. I need Exchange Server access and can't get that with Android, and 3 of my clients have banned Android from their premises, so, there's that.

I get my free mobile hotspot in the iPads I own, it's part of VZW's plan with iPads, so I stick a SIM in that. Streamed shows from Coachilla in HD earlier this year. I might consider Android again if there was a vanilla flavor on VZW - I like spending time with my GF and not my phone so much anymore... Cheers!

Just changed my plan to a Nationwide 700 Talk/Text Family plan, and can now add an unlimited data line at apple.com
 
Sorry if I'm repeating this question, but I just received my apple.com order for the iP6+ and it has problems activating. I ordered using the UDP loophole and I simply want to add it onto my existing family plan.

I know a couple members mentioned this last week, so I was wondering if there's a concrete solution for it now. Neither Apple or Verizon (through phone support) could help me out.

To be clear I received my phone a couple days earlier than expected. Could that be why?

When was your estimated delivery date?
 
Anyone know if you have the $20 talk, text and data discount on your account will it apply to a new unlimited iPhone line if I add one?

I had a Nationwide Talk/Text 450 - single line.

I was actually able to convert it to the Family plan with the VZW CSR without adding a second line at the time. So I currently have a Family 700 shared plan with only one line at the moment.

Originally I was unable to see an option on apple.com for the unlimited iPhone data when adding a new line.

Prior to it being shipped out, Apple estimated it on the week of Oct 24th. When it actually got processed, UPS had it estimated on Oct 13th. Either way it was earlier than expected.

Others say that you can bring it into an Apple Store and have them put out a request to Verizon so it can be activated. Other wise it may be a waiting game for you

Waiting until what, the month is over I suppose? How would the activation process be done at that point, calling Verizon?

I'll try my luck at the Apple Store tomorrow, I'd rather not have to return this.

Apple estimates the activation of your phone to the time they think it will arrive. So, if they think it will arrive later in the month, the activation may not work until then. There are 2 stages of activation, the lines being added/work order being created (apple estimates this), and actually activating the device on the line. (Won't work until part one is done)

I need to do this apparently. Can you walk me through the process you went through to get this done. What number did you call? What did you specifically request? What are you paying now for the family 700 shared plan. Thanks in advance.
 
wow I'm android guy so I didn't know it would be so hard to get an iphone lol I'm only doing this so my sister could get one and use the line to transfer my upgrade later. When do they usually stock the phone? Or how often do they stock them?
 
Question:

What happens if I do an in-store pickup, AOL the line, and then try to return the phone to the Apple store (within the 3 day or 14 day period) once I've sold the UDP?

Insecure email/calendaring, very poor 3rd-party Exchange/EAS support. The only secure means of getting a corporate environment on Android - Good Technology, has taken a nosedive in user experience in the past year. My employees and I often work in client's offices - no Android allowed. Period.

I am, and I don't care. It's an expense work paying for. When I started out in my field in 2000, if something went wrong I had to take a picture, drive to the nearest town, print out a picture, find the nearest Kinkos, print out the picture(s) and a report, find a fax machine, send it to an engineer - all while the contractor was billing $2k an hour and my boss was charging $150 per hour for me. Now, I can leave an iPad with MHS enabled at the site and my bill is far less per month, and there's more profit per project.

I'm heading out of town for 5 days next week. If I needed wifi, I'd use my iPad or a hacked Android phone. I'll bet you my iPad's battery lasts 20 times longer than your phone - I will be away from a "plug" for two days. It's what I need, just like you "need" an unlocked bootloader. You need a margarita (yes, I remember), and I need my Irish whiskey - they're different, but they get us where we need to go... :p

We? As in VZW users, b/c that's what I need... My business partner wants the next greatest Android phone - his VZW GNex died and he's using one of my backup iPhone 5 handsets. He really "needs" an iPhone 6 Plus but we can't get one for him just yet!

Call VZW Customer Service (611 form your cell). Tell them you want to convert your single line Nationwide to a Family Share 700 Nationwide, and I repeated probably 10 times throughout the process that I want to make sure I don't loose my unlimited data. Took the rep about 2 minutes. Once its complete, you should be able to go to apple.com, add a line and see the unlimited data option.

The plan is $80 plus $10 for the primary and $29.99 for my UDP, so in total right now I am paying $120 for my one line, prior to adding any additional UDP lines.
