It sounds like more people had issues going through with IUP than not. Yikes
This was after getting a "reservation" message and not being able to move through the pre-order process. Freaked me out but EXTREMELY satisfied that it resulted in Apple holding my spot and my order being set for launch day!!

I hope that data is accurate from my order status check and email i got but i have never had an issue with Apple meeting their shipping status dates so I feel pretty solid.
I got in around 12:04 PST and they had trouble contacting ATT so I got a reservation#...Got my email at about 2am and finished the ordering process...looks like I have shipment 1 on launch day....bummer is my account is under a family member and they now live in washington....anyone have success having apple change the shipping address?
Pre-ordered the X 64gb Silver in The Netherlands and got the confirmation email at 9:07.

Mine still says order in progress- 256 SG. iPhone Silicone case black is preparing for shipment today. Have confirmation emails for all as well.

Much better iPhone Upgrade experience; last year I had to wait a month to pick up my jet black 7+. This year, I scored a launch day delivery date for a 256GB silver X.
Went through Apple store app and have a delivery date of November 3rd. My order was in at 12:08 am PT iPhone X 256 GB Space Gray. Received the Apple confirmation email minutes after and ATT sent me the installment agreement confirmation this am around 5 am.
Feel very lucky given the stories I’m reading. Congrats to those who were able to get in on this first batch. Hopefully those still awaiting confirmations/updates receive them soon!

Not just AT&T, but Verizon, too. I kept getting error messages when I tried to verify my Verizon account and also lost launch day delivery due to this delay.
Sounds like Apple did a better job this year than last year, but they still have a ways to go to make the IUP process as flawless as it should be.
I’m so bummed. I ordered at 1:03 using the Apple upgrade program for the big black t mobile iphone x. Unfortunately, I was trying to finish the process so quickly, I didn’t noticed it gave me the option to pick it up on launch day at the store. I clicked for it to be shipped and unfortunately got nov 10 date. To my knowledge no one getting tmobile phones got any dates earlier than nov. 10. I wonder why that was? Maybe a SIM card shortage or sorts? I mean NO ONE has gotten a shipping date for the big tmobile phones earlier than nov 10 as far as i’ve Seen on here.
If you ordered a device and it's not coming until December, but the order says 'Order in Progress', what are the chances it will come earlier than December?
I wonder if I could still call them and have them change it to in stores pick up. They seem to have a stock of store phones for apple upgrade folks...
Did Anyone here get a launch day t-mobile phone from the Apple Store when it opened? As soon as I got in the delivery date was November 10-17. They must've gone lightning fast. I hope there's a chance it will come sooner. Wonder why there is no window between the 3rd and the 10th
Mine just changed to shipping is being prepared. So I guess early next week from China to The Netherlands and then to my door by the 3rd.
I was lucky. Used the iOS app on 2 phones. They will be delivered on 11/3 to my door (Black 256gb AT&T) and one I had to use the AT&T app to make an payment on one of the phones for an early upgrade approval, and sadly, they app was a mess. It SAYS ships between the 4th and the 10th but that was ordered 2 hours after launch. I'm sure it falls in the 4 to 5 week category.
No, they didn’t “ go fast” there seem to have been none. Not a single person here has said they got shipping dates of Nov 3 for the bigger tmobile iphone x’s.
