I'm an IUP customer and I checked out as soon as it went live and my delivery date is Nov. 17 - 24.
So much for that conspiracy theory.
I couldn't get a local pickup (DFW metro) but got a 11/10-17 Ship date. SG 256. I am bullish on an earlier ship date.
Me too. Since no tmobile 256 SG got earlier shipping dates, I have a feeling our batch will ship sooner than they are saying.
Got through on Apple chat to ask about the reservation email with no additional movement. I always have zip code issues with AT&T and was concerned about that causing a snag here too. Apparently during the ‘contacting the carrier’ stage, the chat reps know nothing. Hopefully I’ll get an email if there are issues with the zip for some reason before they bail on the reservation.

Last year I had the same deliver range but was able to get it in store about a week later. Any idea if that will be the same this year?

I'm the end I got my phone from in store then received the one I'd ordered, ended up just returning the apple.com order to my local store a few days later
I ordered at 3:05AM EST the second the apple store app started working and for nov 11-17 for verizon 64GB white. Did anyone get 64GB white for nov 3? Anyone feel like they were lied to being told to use the app? i usually use the website and they said use the app this year....
I feel like they had none or NY was on the short end of the stick for them turning on the apple store app. super frustrating as i have been ordering iphones for years for launch day delivery and this is my first time not getting launch day delivery.

I'm pretty frustrated with the IUP program at this point, and most likely won't be renewing anymore.
I signed up so I could get launch day releases and a new phone every year, and when I'm doing my due diligence by pre-approving on Monday, then refreshing both browsers and phones from 11:55pm forward and don't get in until 12:10am (at which point date is 17-24) -- there's no point in being part of the IUP.

If I recall correctly, once an order has been placed it cannot be modified without cancelling and reordering. If you got launch day shipping, I'd keep everything as is. You can also verify this through an Apple support call or chat but I imagine it's pretty backed up right now.
This was definitely the case. Sounds like people not going through the IUP were able to try different options like buying through the carriers or starting an order fresh at pre-order time. The IUP folks who pre-qualified were especially screwed cuz we were locked out until the pre-qualification came up in the app... which for me took about 20+ minutes.
White ? I guess you meant silver. In any case the iPhone app is the fastest way always. Some people are lucky with the website but I’ve not.
They used to offer that, but people would hire people to line up/order online and then ship them to countries that didn't have the phone available and sell them for crazy mark ups. So Apple put a stop to it using this method. I think they should find a better way.
No, don't worry. Any charges at this point is just a pre-auth. You'll get the full blown charge just before the device ships.
Nope. Not when AT&T (my carrier) was up and giving out launch day order dates 15 minutes before midnight... I'd have just bought it outright at this point.
This might not be a problem if you aren't able to get through. Typically iPhones are sent as signature-required, so they'll attempt to deliver another day. Once you get a shipping number, you could call the shipping company (UPS or FedEx) and ask them to hold it at a certain pick up center.
Yeah, but how often is it the other way around. I can think of many, many years when carriers crapped out and it was Apple that delivered... I think it’s just the luck of the draw that year. What date did you get anyway?
Same story here! As soon as store went live it was Nov 10-17. TMobile Silver 64gb. Hoping for the best!
It was available, I got an iPhone 7 Plus, for in store pick up. I think that Jet Black was the only one that wasn't available for in store pick up.Last year pickup was no available on preorder day
At&t still has silver 64GB shipping between the 2nd and 10th of November. Better than a month later than that which is what apple has me at right now.
