That must be an At&t thing, cause everyone with At&t seems to be going to prepare to ship status. I’m with Verizon. Oddly they charged my card, but my status hasn’t changed when I check in the app.
My son and I both did the same and got the same delivery date. I don't get it because people who said they ordered later than we did are getting their phones on release day. Oh well.
it will be over the weekend. That has been the pattern with preorders.

I always tell myself to stay away from here after pre-order because I freak out for no reason and start refreshing my order status like crazy....but I couldn't stay away...and now I'm freaking out because my order (confirmation e-mail rcvd @12:09 AM-delivery scheduled for 11/03 AT&T through apple website--app didn't load for me until around 12:10 AM) has STILL not changed to "Preparing for Shipment".....why do I do this to myself lol.
Relax. It will change and your phone will come on launch day.
I'm with Sprint and got a confirmation at 3:17am EST for 11/3 through Apple Store App. I'm sure the carrier and which model has a lot to do with how we all are getting our delivery dates. I'm just happy for the first time I'm getting a delivery date that's the actual release date. However this time I will be out of the country when it arrives and won't be back home until the 14th. So sucks to be me...but still grateful it'll be waiting on me when I get back.

I wonder if there is any correlation between the shipment status and delivery choice. Has anyone who chose an in-store pick up had their status change to “preparing for shipment?”

Which is the best piece of info to use on UPS to track by Reference? Order #, e-mail, phone #?
