You can. Once it ships you can have it sent to the main UPS depot in your area or to a local UPS store. I just don't know how long they can hold them.

I live in a small town and when my S3 Apple Watch was delivered a few weeks ago the UPS guy told me to just come by the UPS center in town before he heads out and he would just give it to me next time without officially having it held. He knew I had been waiting all day. I’m going to try it. He gave me an exact time to be there. I don’t know why he would lie he delivers packages to me every week. If it doesn’t work out it’s still out for delivery.

Last year I was given a expected delivery range of Oct. 4 - 10. And my iPhone 7+ was delivered Sept. 24. 10 days earlier than the earliest estimate. I’m sure something similar happens this time as well. I’m traveling a lot between now and Thanksgiving, including launch day. May have to have UPS either hold my package or change address to a friend’s house. Hoping for delivery between 11/4 and 11/7 as I’m actually home all those dates. Lol
do you guys know if I buy full price sprint iPhone x , it will come unlocked ? Can I use that phone on day one in T_mobile ..?

I have a November 3rd store pickup date. Not sure if my order will get shipped to the store or what. Never did the store pickup option but it was the only option to choose if I wanted launch day.

I have not, sadly. And yes I have an 11/3 delivery date. Anxiously waiting for it to move to PFS!
Thank you. I just signed up. Is this a fairly reliable service? Also, I see that UPS My Choice has the ability to automatically find packages on their way to me. If it doesn't automatically detect my iPhone X shipment, can I still schedule the shipment by tracking it manually with the tracking number? Thanks.
Sign up for UPS choice and when it ships have it held at nearest UPS Customer Center to pick it up on launch day
For all of those who are asking about in store pick orders moving to PFS or shipped, they typically don't show any changes until late the night before the pick up date. At that point, they will change to ready for pickup. I just did it for the 8 Plus.
Mine has not been. Although, my order just recently got moved to 11/3 from 11/10-11/17, so maybe that's why. Credit card still has not been charged yet either.
Here in Denver every apple store had verizon sg 64 gb available for store pick up. Even 45-50 min after the preorders started

Just one hour after preorders began, all iPhone X buyers were quoted 4-5 week wait times. And by 8 a.m. ET, that slipped to 5-6 weeks across the board.
Apple is promising that some iPhone X units will be available for walk-in buyers on launch day next Friday, Nov. 3. But especially judging by this chart, those probably won’t last for very long.

Of course. Everything UPS still works as normal. Just gives you some better insight into your order. Been using it for years.
I guess I have a conundrum. I tried to order early on but ran into the AT&T account confirmation issues. I kept on going and finally ordered a SG 64GB using AT&T Next with a 11/17-24 delivery date. I was also in the AT&T queue and was able to get a Nov 3 delivery date from them using the same AT&T Next after I placed the Apple order. Later this morning I got the reservation email from Apple that said to go back to complete the order for a Nov 3 delivery but I would have to pay in full as the line to upgrade was no longer eligible. After many calls and attempts to chat, I finally got into a chat with Apple Support and they said they couldn't merge the reservation with the order. They did say that they felt that canceling the existing orders should free up the Next eligibility on the line I wanted to upgrade.
Do I (1.) stay with AT&T and their Nov 3rd delivery date (and play roulette as we know it may NOT be delivery on Nov 3) or (2.) hang with the Nov 17-24 date (as it should push up with others already moving up) or (3.) cancel them both, hope the ATT Next eligibility is restored and go for the reservation and Nov 3 delivery date? I have until 3 pm EST on Saturday to complete the reservation.

Very reliable. I have been using it for a few years, same with FedEX and the new USPS app. I cannot think of a time when a package being delivered hasn't appeared in the app. Don't worry, if it is being shipped via UPS, it will appear in My Choice.
