Ordered last night. Scheduled for Dec 12-19 but I'm hoping it comes forward by a few weeks as Apple gets more stock in.
 
Not long after the preorders opened the estimates changed to 5-6 weeks, but they haven’t gotten any worse. Anyone know why that is? Is there all of a sudden going to be a huge shift in stock or are less people preordering?

I myself never do, it happens automatically. What I assume happens is the shipping label is created, and upon the first scan into the system it is redirected to the CC... kind of like when you put your mail on hold for a vacation. I’ve never not gotten the device on launch day.

honestly, i have heard it cut both ways "i always request early bc if you dont then it will be delayed," "I always request later but on a certain day bc if you dont it will be delayed"
 
I am chatting with UPS asking about the hub's there are two in my town but I've check all packages that have been delivered to me in the past and HUB A is the destination scan and HUB B has always been an arrival/departure. So i went with Hub A, also the rep is useless but what else is new.

Update: my logic paid off, "That is the Distribution Center in charge of your area and your package is scheduled for delivery on 11/03. "

I have seen the same issue, with others who have waited until the last minute. I have done it multiple times as soon as I have a tracking number and I have never had an issue.

Guys, is there a way to find out whether your hold for pickup request has been successfully completed or still pending
 
I went back and looked at the iphone 7 thread and it seems like most people saw movement out of china and into AK on monday. So hopefully we see some movement later today.
