Order put in on the 15th EOD, still preparing to ship.

Still got to play with my wife's iPhone 8 though...

Nice picture! Glad to see I'm not the only 15th order who is still preparing to ship and I put mine in at 9:48am. lol. Misery loves company :).

How do you block numbers easily now?

Download the Hiya app. It’ll block them and send them straight to voicemail. Even works with spoofed calls.

Just blocking the number is more trouble than it’s worth since they rarely use the same number twice.

And here we are back again!!!

Congratulations to all the new iPhone 8 Users

I had a great time last year over here. iPhone 7 Plus it was. It was a long waiting game but we all enjoyed our moments.

--

So in short, iPhone 7 Plus 32GB Gold (Sim-Free) purchased from Apple.com and it took around 25 days to receive the shipment.

This time I'm ready for the Pre Order for iPhone X 64GB Silver (T-Mobile)

As I'm from India and I need GSM Network so I'm ok with T-Mobile GSM. If I am not wrong, you need to pay the full amount and you get unlocked iPhone and there's no requirement for any kind of activation. I checked with Apple via Chat Support and I'm glad to say that it still remains the same way.

I wanted to know that should I order from Apple.com or T-Mobile's Website? which one ships faster as my Uncle will be leaving from New York to India around 2nd week of December.

Thanks and good luck with iPhone 8/8+ Orders and Pre-Order for iPhone X

You have an estimated delivery date. Mine is preparing to ship with an estimated date 25th Sep to 2nd Oct. I will see Monday if my CC has been charged :)

Mine said "estimated delivery date" for about 4 days until it finally changed to "Delivers 26 Sep, 2017 by Next Day Shipping" Then it took another few days before I got "preparing for shipping" - and has been there for 3 days.

My CC didn't get charged until 3 days ago when it went to "preparing for shipping."

Insane. lol.

I would suggest Apple store app. That's the best bet. With all the rumors going around for X, I think you have a minute or two..... by the way... kaise ho bhai? :)

Can you get one from Apple? like at the store or something.

Well as it stands, both UPS and Apple have started their own inquiries. Apple offered a refund or to ship a replacement. I decided to try the replacement route first. The Apple Rep added the replacement note to my file, and said I should hear from Apple within 48 hours; with info about the next steps. She did not know when the replacement might ship.

I hope that they might “overnight” one to me to get here monday. But I really don’t know what happens next until I hear from Apple or UPS. So, I wait, somewhat agitatedly. I play games and read to distract my brain in the meantime.

I’m with ya. Ordered on the 16th — been “Preparing for Shipment” for two days. A friend of mine waltzed into a Verizon store Friday afternoon on a whim and walked out with one. Oh well ... at least I’m not dealing with traffic at the mall!

Hi all,

Looking for some help here in regards to updating to the X in Nov.

So I've been with Verizon a long time and haven't upgraded under the new rules with payments per month (rental/upgrade yearly or once you pay off half)

The last time I upgraded to the 6 I just paid a reduced flat fee and I own the phone.

I am available for upgrade and not locked into a contract anymore, I pay month to month.

What is the best way to upgrade?

1. Pre-order with apple and still pay Verizon insurance in case I lose the phone/theft. (apple care doesn't cover correct)

2. Pre-order with verizon and still pay verizon insurance (I think you have to pay for a longer term here though? 50% opposed to 12 months or something) Can someone explain this to me.

3. Pre-order with Best Buy and pay for Best Buy protection (and still be on apple's payment plan I believe)

Looking for clarity on apple payment plan vs. verizon payment plan and the different insurance options.

Looking to pay the least but also be able to upgrade as needed and not be stuck on a delayed cycle due to low payments or something.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!!

If the X is going to be as hard to get as we all think, I would recommend buying from Apple. Either pay out right or use apples iPhone Upgrade Program. Get Apple Care, it makes life easy if you have an issue as they can repair and replace the phone at an Apple Store. If the X turns out to be really hard to get, retailers and carriers may not have initial inventory, like with the Jet Black last year.

Bought my 8 plus from electronic store in hk on the first day. No queuing no pre order needed

Yeah I don't think I'm going to pre-order again. It was fun but man, that's a long time to wait for a phone, and I am going to get my phone after most people do making it completely useless to preoder on the 15th.

This. The nearest Apple Store is about an hour away. I hate waiting in lines. The last time we signed up for iUP it took 2 hours at an Apple Store. Took me 5 minutes to do this preorder online and I was done. That said, I've easily burned up 2 hours+ checking shipping statuses repeatedly. lol. But at least it was from the comfort of my phone.

Citizens One just charged my CC for the first month. :p

Trade in Kit shows Order in Progress now.

Right! A little closer for me -- about 20 minutes (on a good day -- 45+ with traffic) -- but with the store being inside a mall, it increases the aggravation by a factor of five. Unless I was going to save a ton of dough, it's not worth the hassle. Don't bother me if I get the phone later. It's just a phone, not Urgent Care!

I hope they open more stores or some kind of kiosk for such places. I am in Dallas and we have 5 of them in the area.

If they
I don’t get why they don’t just open the X preorders now, so they can have an idea of the stock they need. Take advantage of the bigger wait time.
If they open preorders for X, the 8/8+ are not going to sell anymore. With minimal changes, 8/8+ are big money making machines. Also, some who bought 8/8+ will be tempted to upgrade to X when they see X, double sales and profit.

Its all about numbers.. nothing else..

That might be the case but having an extra month to ramp up supplies will help keep up with tbe demand also.

If they had started production, they could already be building a stockpile of devices... but since they haven't started yet (and won't until mid-October, according to latest reports)... the X will be in short supply. Perhaps that's part of Apple's plan - to keep the buzz going... but opening up pre-orders on 9/15 like they did for the 8/8+ would have done nothing to address the supply side of the equation. Apple already knows the demand will be great... so, either they have just mismanaged the supply side, or they have purposely created a dearth of product for launch day, just to keep the (artificial) magic going.

Fed ex shipping shows ground. Usually ground from eastern USA takes a few days at least. Wish the tracking number was loaded into fed ex system so I’d know where it is coming from. Tuesday is a lot more probable than Monday I guess.

For those of you still waiting for shipment info, I would suggest looking at apple website. There is an option to check for in-store pickup, and I see plenty of stores that carry the plus models. I did the same thing last year for the 7Plus and snagged one the Sunday after launch. I'm hoping I can do this for the iPhone X if I don't get a reasonable ship date.
