So, uh, something weird is going on...

I’ve been an IUP member for the requisite amount of time and I’ve made the requisite amount of payments. I use Verizon as my carrier.

Everytime I get to the carrier confirmation part of the process, it spins for a while and then I get a splash screen, with a Verizon Wireless logo, saying that my carrier may require a deposit before I can purchase a new iPhone.

Anybody have any idea wtf?

Can anyone tell me if you save the iPhone X model to your favorites will that speed up the process when the site goes live? Or do you need to start from scratch?

Got this error. Called in, and in my case, it was due to my Equifax credit report being frozen. Unfroze, tried again 10 mins later, and it went through perfectly.

I’ve been going through all the steps for the pre-order using an IP8 on the Apple Store app and have been able to get the final step around a minute? Is this a good time? Worried the pre-approved IUP people will take all my chance of securing an in store pickup for the 3rd!!

Did you do the Equifax credit freeze by chance? That would be my only idea I saw an earlier post on here it happened to another user who had the Equifax ordeal. I hope everything works out for you otherwise just do a carrier finance option etc

I just pre-ordered both of our phones. Now all I have to do is stay up and complete the orders on Friday night! Hopefully I'll get in.

If the on-sale time (as noted by apple) is 12.01am on 27th, then you are really talking about one minute after Thursday night not Friday night.

Will T-Mobile IUP iPhone X buyers be able to do the upgrade via Fedex? Or will it be in-store only?

I remember reading IUP upgrades for the 8/8+ had to be done in-store for T-Mobile subscribers.

yea from my knowledge, previous pre orders have had the in store pickup option. i don't see why this won't hold true for the X

From opening the app to the screen where it has the “Continue” button when reserving, my PB time has been 6 seconds.

Haha. That is good. Pay attention to the store pickup selection and you need to select a time for pickup. Have your credit card already ready in the app (and with you) so it populates and you can enter other required info quickly.

Apple will typically send out an empty box for you to send with a Fedex shipping label. Always ask for a receipt with tracking when you hand it over to fedex. I use Delivers app and whenever I ship something back, I always save the tracking number apple provides and I always ask for a receipt with tracking. Apple always receives my item without any issues or delays.

Why spend more money when Apple provides a free trade in kit. doesn't make any sense to pay for your own shipping if Apple already provides one for free.

I have maxed out my business card for the month and it will be paid off on the 28th. Would I still be able to use that card to check out during preorder? I know Apple does a preauthorization check before they actually charge/ship. I don’t want my order to be cancelled because the pre authorizations doesn’t go through. I could use another card, but would prefer not to.

I think it was just a credit check for the program....not a preorder.

Exactly what it was, but at least you can get pre approved and not have to spend time on it when you order.

The verge just posted an article article stating they have press release from Apple saying that there will be iPhone X available in stores as well.

It'll probably get declined when they try to do the preauthorization. I wouldn't risk it. Pay it off early if you can or use a different card.

Can we pre-order the X and get in-store pick-up? Also, I'm not the account holder but an account manager for verizon. Can apple see that I'm an account manager if I pick-it up?
