Do they expect you to trade in the cord, headphones and adaptor when you return your old phone?
Nope, the trade in kit tells you exactly what to do. You basically just wipe the phone and take out the SIM and you’re good.

Question: Is the back of the iPhone X with the silver bezel actually SILVER. Everyone keeps saying its White![]()
White or silver is not a big deal or a deal breaker as it still looks nice.I'm pre-approved for the 256gb Silver and honestly it took me freaking ages to decide. I have the matte black 256gb 7+ now and honestly I just really wanted something different. I'm also a girl and the silver just feels more feminine to me, LOL. I looked at a BUNCH of videos on youtube and pictures on google and from the looks of it it appears to have more of a white look to it. Maybe it's silver in reality but with the glossy glass back it reflects so much light off of it that it makes it look more white? Not sure..
OK, here's my strategy this year; Will try to order iPhone X 256GB when it comes online at 12:01am PDT, if no success or a delivery date of 3 to 6+ weeks... I will cancel and wait until the phones are readily in Apple Stores. Last year ordered iPhone 7plus Jet Black 5 min after the online store came online and didn't get the phone for 6 weeks....which killed the excitement of being "the first on your block" to have the new phone.

I was so pissed last year. I got in as SOON as the preorders were open, got a launch day delivery date (09/16/2016). I got all the way to the end and it wouldn't take my debit card (which I called my bank the day prior to make sure I wouldn't have any issues). I had to jump out of bed grab a different card and change the card info. By the time I got to complete the order the delivery date was already moved from 09/16/2016 to between 09/23/2016-09/27/2016. The phone was actually delivered on 09/20/2016 but I just wanted to have a phone on launch day just ONCE. I haven't gotten it right yet. My 6 Plus was like 6 weeks after launch and my 6S Plus was like 3 weeks after launch. I don't get the rhyme or reason behind these delivery dates because I know I completed my order way after 5 minutes of the preorders opening last year and I got a delivery date of 09/23-09/27 and you had to wait 6 weeks. How does that make sense? Is it carrier driven? I have AT&T, maybe that had something to do with it.![]()
I see a few people saying their order were cancelled/delayed due to issues with debit/credit cards. Does this only apply to buying it for full price? The last few preorders for me were on AT&T Next through the Apple app and I don't recall it asking for a card.
That would be an early Halloween scareI have always used AT&T Next. I'm unfortunately not rich enough to pay full price upfront LOL. The card is needed to bill the taxes when the phone is ready to be shipped. My card was already on file from my last preorder and it was valid, but my bank blocked it stating they were having issues with orders from apple being fraudulent. Those few minutes cost me my launch day delivery! I ripped them a new one lol. Don't do that again!
You might want to go the delivery route instead, or try ordering an iPhone 8 and see if your name is on the pick up or the account holders. (Just don’t hit place order)Can we pre-order the X and get in-store pick-up? Also, I'm not the account holder but an account manager for verizon. Can apple see that I'm an account manager if I pick-it up?
Who plans on using the Apple app vs the website? Which one do you believe is better?
I’ll be using the Apple app instead of the website.
Do you use Apple Pay or put your card info in directly?
I hope too, this's what I wanna do
Apple Pay. I’m using the same cc tied to my address and iTunes account.
So I have two questions that you guys might have answers to:
1) Do they have separate stocks for in-store pickup of your preorders vs. those getting shipped directly? IE, does each store have it's own "preorder" stock that will sell out quickly, or does Apple simply take the same stock and ship some to stores and some directly based on the option you pick? (Obviously, the number of phones sent to stores to be sold the day of launch would be a separate thing.)
2) I live in Massachusetts, and that's where our AT&T account is billed to, but am thinking about picking up at a New Hampshire store where there is no sales tax. How does this work with preordering? Is there still no tax since I'm picking up in NH and that store is the one "selling" it to me, or do I still have to pay tax since I ordered online and prepaying?
Would it be a bad thing to use a different CC?Apple Pay. I’m using the same cc tied to my address and iTunes account.
So I am looking to upgrade one of the lines on my account with ATT by doing a pre order on the Apple Store app. The issue is walking through the steps just now the line that will be upgraded is not the one that is eligible with no payment since it is the one I am on. So I am borrowing an upgrade from a line on the account.
Is there a way to change the phone number (line) to the one that is eligible with no payment from my current phone? Or do I have to use the actual phone that will be upgraded?
The problem with that is carriers can’t move the installments to a different line so he’d have to keep the new line open for the installment purposesPeople do this all the time. Add a line and then switch the phone to the number you want it on. Perfectly normal and possible.
this's what I hope for, so I can do pre order in Friday and select pick up in store selection, I'm so happy, thank you!I confirmed today with a regional manager at the Apple store in NYC they’ll have preorders in store pickup FYI
