Guys I have a very important question, so if the shipping address in the Apple Store app on the iPhone is under my name and my home address but I’ll be paying with my brother’s credit card which I set up in Apple Pay, should I expect any issue with the checkout? We have the same address and my shipping address is the same as the billing address of his credit card as we live together. The only thing different is his name obviously
If you are AT&T, when they check the account they will ship ONLY to the billing address on the AT&T account. Credit card billing and shipping addresses don't matter, even in Apple Pay.

I’m buying the T-Mobile version which doesn’t ask or check any carrier information so I should be good to go by using my brother’s cc setup in ApplePay and my shipping address in the Apple Store app? Again, the only difference is the name, we live in the same address so my shipping address and his credit card billing address is the same, there shouldn’t be any issue right?

Hi there, Can I do the ATT Next Upgrade @ 12 months through Apple's website? Or do you have to do the early upgrade at 12 months in the store? Or can I mail it in after I pre-order via next again? It's not super clear on the website. Or maybe I'm just missing it.

Yes, that should work.

What about for Verizon? Do you know if they will be able to ship to my credit card (Apple Pay) billing address as opposed to my Verizon billing address if I am paying for the phone in full?

Edit: I changed my Verizon billing address to match my CC address so someone is there to sign. Not risking it. Verizon customer service did it right away over the phone.

I have an AT&T SIM and planned to buy the Verizon version, paying in full to get it unlocked (well all Verizon phones are unlocked, but to get it without any commitment). Are you guys sure that I can't do that without a Verizon account?

My AT&T SIM is from my employer, so I don't have an AT&T login either. Should I get the tmobile model?

No, I think you will be good. Good luck!

No, you bed a VZW account. If you have a VZW sim, set up an account on their site NOW and order the phone. Do a no commitment plan. Order the phone then cancel the VZW account. No penalties. It's what I'm doing

I don't have a Verizon SIM. Like I said, I have an AT&T SIM, but it's from my employer so I do not have AT&T account access.

Is it confirmed that Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint all require a preexisting mobile phone account before pre-ordering? And if so, should I get the T-mobile version? Just want to avoid wasting precious seconds when 3:01AM comes around.

Actually come to think of it, T-mobile is much less popular than AT&T and Verizon so it may ship faster anyway. But resale value will be lower.

I guess I could setup a Verizon account and then cancel it, but that seems a bit chancy. I'd rather just get the tmobile one if that's what I would have to do.

Does anybody here use GoPhone (or AT&T Prepaid)? I just chatted with Apple Store chat asking about how to pre-order the X and they said you can get a T-Mobile and it will work with AT&T prepaid. Can somebody here confirm this?

The same questions are being asked.
If only someone could have foreseen that happening and written a FAQ. But that's impossible. Right?

Much better to act sanctimonious towards people asking questions rather than reading through a 96 page long thread.

And now multiple Apple App and website down posts are being created ‍♀️

I'm on the iPhone upgrade plan and I've done the pre-approval for the X. I currently have an iPhone 7 and want to "buy it out" and hand it down within the family. Do I just NOT return the 7 and have another loan or do they make me pay the remaining balance on the loan which is around $430?
