“Hope” everyone got their addresses, carrier, and payment information in and saved to the app! Good luck everyone!

And lemme predict: Demand won’t be as insane as some predicted. The low demand rumors could just be coming from within, trying to spread hype. Also, don’t know how many people are willing to shell out 1k for a phone. I’d say 3-5 week back order within 5-10 minutes, not seconds as some are “predicting.” Alright, back to your regularly scheduled negativity...

I have an AT&T SIM and planned to buy the Verizon version, paying in full to get it unlocked (well all Verizon phones are unlocked, but to get it without any commitment). Are you guys sure that I can't do that without a Verizon account?

My AT&T SIM is from my employer, so I don't have an AT&T login either. Should I get the tmobile model?

It will not work, you need to order a T-Mobile. You can't buy a Verizon from Apple without an active account. You can't by an AT&T model since you don't have an account to verify against.

Lol, I hope you are right and it’s not seconds. I would love to win the lottery and get one on first day. T minus 6 hours till launch... of preorders.

It will not work, you need to order a T-Mobile. You can't buy a Verizon from Apple without an active account. You can't by an AT&T model since you don't have an account to verify against.

Question for all of you guys? I haven't decided yet if I'll get my usual AT&T or try and get a T-Mo X. If I get the T-Mobile, do I still activate it with the T-Mo Sim inside? Or do I just pop it out and put in my AT&T?

Hey guys. Not sure if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything when searching. Let's just say that we are able to preorder more than one phone... I went through and favorited the two phone configurations I want to pre-order but was confused about what to select for the second phone when it asked if it was going to replace the phone I was on or add a new phone to a plan. I will be upgrading two lines. Does anyone know from past experience how you go about using two different line upgrades when using the app.

if you’re trying for carrier payment option and use of the lines upgrade you may have to split the order? Not sure
I use Verizon and I have to use the individual devices phone number - zip code and last four of SSN and then a window pops up for the master pin. Not sure on other carriers sorry. If it’s not my main line that controls the account I choose option 2 “Buy a new IPhone for an existing wireless account” or whatever it says.

Random FWIW: Last year ordered a 128 GB iPhone 7 Plus in black and never rushed or felt anxious, as it was my first time pre-ordering an iPhone and didn't know what to expect, got a launch day delivery in Los Angeles AND had a 12:10 confirmation email (which is pretty late, right).

Never been more Ready for this, got Apple music pumping on the TV, just cracked open a handle of Jack Daniels and roommate just got back with the monster energy drink. Will auto refresh on safari starting at 2:45 and try the app too.

Random FWIW: Last year ordered a 128 GB iPhone 7 Plus in black and never rushed or felt anxious, as it was my first time pre-ordering an iPhone and didn't know what to expect, got a launch day delivery in Los Angeles AND had a 12:10 confirmation email (which is pretty late, right).

Demand for the 128's was less, you would have had a hard time nabbing the 256 models 10 minutes after midnight, they sold out within 4 minutes.

It's only 1 hour later than that...3am EST vs 2am central, it isn't that bad...

Yeah if I didn't have a half day at work tomorrow I would probably go to sleep and set an alarm, but as it stands I'm just going to play some games and chill until order time.

It's only 1 hour later than that...3am EST vs 2am central, it isn't that bad...

It doesn't sound like a big difference but for some reason I feel way better the next day going to bed at 2 than I do going to bed at 3.
