Yeah if I didn't have a half day at work tomorrow I would probably go to sleep and set an alarm, but as it stands I'm just going to play some games and chill until order time.

It doesn't sound like a big difference but for some reason I feel way better the next day going to bed at 2 than I do going to bed at 3.
Looks like I'll just be sleep deprived one night then ;)

It's only 1 hour later than that...3am EST vs 2am central, it isn't that bad...
I'm aware it's an hour lol. That would mean it's one more hour that I could sleep afterward, however, being at 3, by the time I'm done with the order and checking my email constantly to make sure it went through, it's near 4 and I just stay up. Maybe if it were 3, I would go to sleep

Did anyone use the Apple Store app and practice by pretending to order an iPhone 8? Because I tested it out and I couldn't figure out a way to get passed that 15 second long loading screen when they check with Verizon the account information you entered. Is there no way to add the phone to the cart without doing that? That's a long wait

You have to do that when ordering from Verizon, it's pretty unavoidable.

I did see earlier, not sure if it was another thread, but a few people were having issues with the Verizon account check tool. I'm sure it'll be fixed come pre-order time :)

It's not silver. It's white. ;)

Seemed to work well this afternoon. Normally those work fine for preorders.

This if for tracking orders from Apple.com site.

I will post the tracking links once we get through the pre-orders.

Here they are:

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Thanks to dwfaust for the info:

If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.
That invoice has the serial number on it.

Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices.

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlor

So, can anyone comment on the necessity for an account pin (passcode?) on AT&T? I've seen a few folks mention you need this when ordering an AT&T phone from Apple. Except, I am 100% certain I don't have a passcode. And I'm 100% certain I've never used one in the past (as recently as for the 7 Plus last year on launch night).

Billing Zip
Phone number
last four of the account holder's SS#

that's it. that's all i've needed. Can anyone give context on the pin?

Don't know that much about the pin, but I think it's an optional extra layer of security. If you don't have a pin, you'll be sent a one time access code after you enter the previously stated information. However, if upgrading via the Apple Store App and selected "replace this phone," the access code won't be needed.

THAT'S RIGHT! Now I remember. Thank you - that's where my confusion was. I intend to use the app on the replaced phone, but I do recall getting those texts when I did it on my iPad last year.

Thank you!

I'm 100% certain that you DO have a pass code, and I'm 100% certain that AT&T has contacted you a few times to change one to your liking. AT&T started requiring every account has a passcode as of two years ago, and existing accounts have a "default" passcode on it for security purposes...

That being said, AT&T has two security methods. Standard and Extra. The standard security is only used really when calling in or chatting in with AT&T care. The Extra security is used for any other methods of account access... ie. retail store, myat&t website / app, or any third party retail stores or websites, including Apple.com.

Therefor, if you've never customized your password, you have "standard" security, in which case apple is going to make you use the 1 time text pin, instead of just putting in a 4-8 digit number that you created.

YES! I WAS ABLE to practice using an iPhone 8+ Model. After the ATT upgrade screen, I was able to put it in my bag and continue with Apple Pay....Of course, I did not purchase it.

This may be silly but I’m assuming apple will allow in store pickup at an allotted time for 11/3? Thanks

I'm not an expert on this, but I will say, I've had preorders in the past, store pickup was not an option. (But I was always either paying in full, or doing a 2 year contract) If you're doing IUP or some sort of payment plan, that is different.

Hey guys, quick question: Do you know what information is used for in store pickup for identification? Your inputted shipping information? Billing information? I know you can add a different name to pick it up, but that would waste precious time!

Also, do you have the ability to change the person picking up your devices after you've ordered?

If you are AT&T, when they check the account they will ship ONLY to the billing address on the AT&T account. Credit card billing and shipping addresses don't matter, even in Apple Pay.
Wait what?

My ATT address is under my name, at my moms house that I used to live at.

You’re telling me that if I go to pay in full for a phone tonight through Apple.com or the app that Apple themselves won’t ship the phone to my current address on file with Apple where I’ve had stuff shipped before?

Quick question:
If you choose in Store pick-up, at what time are you paying?
Do you pay when picking up the phone at the store or upfront?
Thanks :)

Correct. Apple will change an AT&T order to the AT&T Account holder’s primary billing address, no matter what address or info or phone number you are typing on Apple’s site. It’s AT&T requirement and Apple can’t override it. Your online iPhone order for an AT&T model will only ship to the primary billing address on the AT&T Account no matter what you do on Apple’s site.

You are paying upfront.

Happy I'm not with AT&T.

Think it’s too late to change my address on att.com lol

I mean worst case scenario it ships to my moms house but then I have to drive down to her place after work in delivery day and that’s an extra 90 mins I just can’t handle.....
[doublepost=1509081566][/doublepost]Changing address now on att.com now hoping that’s not gonna mess anything up lol
