Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

I wish they would come earlier. Did that ever happen with the 4s? It's going to be torturous to have to wait until Friday!
 
Got my order in at about 3:45 EDT and last time I was able to actually see anything on Apple's site, it said "Processing items." Bank account has been debited, but I never got a 2nd email from Apple (just the initial one that said "your order is being processed.") I'm sure everything's fine, but I dread being one of those horror stories that gets an email hours after the fact that something's wrong with the order. That's why it'd be nice to be able to see the status on apple.com.

Got my order in around 12:20am PT.
 
Used the apple store app and I was able to pre-order fairly quickly. I'm gonna do this again in a year or two for the next iPhone. Started at like 12:05 and finished at 12:12, went to bed and had a good night rest just to wake up in the morning and find out that the apple store sold out of first day iPhone. -.-
 
I ordered mine (64 gig) about 4am est. via the Apple Store app on my phone. I got the "Available to ship: 2 weeks" on my email. I find it very difficult to believe that the first batch which probably consists of many millions of units, sold out in 1 hour, especially since ordering started at time when most of America has gone to bed and only insomniacs like me are up to place orders. Having the ordering start at the hour that it did gave people on the West Coast an unfair advantage since 12am is easier for them than 3am in the east.
 
My tax for the 16gb black early morning it said $40 $240 total with tax


Right now it says $211. And i got charge that

Overall experience: Great! No problems whatsoever. :D

Checking the order status on the iphone app works fight now
 
Should I cancel?

I ordered thru apple.com website on 12:55 A.M. PST. Switched from AT&T to Verizon and ported my old number and got 1 64GB White iPhone 5. Already shows shipping in 2 weeks at that time :eek::(:mad:

Got an email immediately at 12:56 A.M. PST. Saying my order is being processed.

Current status 'Processing Items' and can be canceled if I want to.

I'm now debating whether I should cancel and get in line at the stores or wait for luck for the shipping date to change to 9/21 :confused: How long should I wait before I cancel you think?

Not for me. I get a message that they're updating the store and will be back shortly. This is killing my iPhone-OCD side. :p


OK, now it's back up through the app. Whew. Still states "Delivers 09/21 via Standard Shipping." Yaaaaay.

Mine was showing processing now it's back to the god damn something went wrong error.

I set my alarm on my 4S for 1:45 am CST, and it didn't go off, so I'm on the 2 week list to deliver October 2nd. I guess that my 4S just doesn't want to leave me. :D
 
I was one of the early reservations and my delivery date just changed from "Two Weeks" to "Delivers 9/21". Check it on the Apple website.
 
Ordered using the Apple Store App and it couldn't have been easier. Got order confirmation right at 12:00AM PST.

32 GB Black for ATT. Was even able to change my shipping address because my billing/shipping are different. Order status has yet to move to pending shipment. Should arrive on time, 9/21.

I disagree. I think they are going to start shipping them out early next week (monday or tuesday). Overnight shipping millions of iPhones all over the world would be veryyyyyyy expensive for Apple. It would be a lot cheaper for them to do ground shipping and tell Fedex to hold shipment until 9/21. That's what they usually do.
 
They updated my tax amount for some reason, but it still says Oct 2 delivery date.

UPDATE:

Apple.com website now says:

Phone 5 64GB White & Silver (CDMA)
Available to ship: 2 weeks
Delivers Oct 4 via Standard Shipping

I'm now :( I was hoping to get 9/21 delivery date. So I guess no more possibility that delivery date might change at all :confused:
 
Im still in processing (as I watch the orer status page go down again). For some reason it says I ordered two, so Im TRYING to cancel the one that is slated for Oct 2nd, but "we are to busy to answer your call, please call back"

Ordered 2:05 CDT via the app.

And if they ship from China to your doorstep, it's pretty much impossible to do overnight.
