Does anyones else UPS shipping screen say this:

I am having mine delivered to my office, so I would assume that means by 3:00.

That's what mine says too. Last time I had something delivered it actually came after 3:00 (around 4 or 5), but I think UPS try's to get it to a business by "close" whatever that means

Other than chat logs (and we all know how reliable UPS customer service is) :) ... the only "substantive" evidence of iPhone deliveries being made by "end of day" is a screen grab from the UPS site -- BUT, on a tracking screen from a "Next Day Air Saver" shipment. Which isn't guaranteed until "end of day" anyway!

As I said in a previous post: as long as it comes ON the 21st I'll be happy! BUT, it'd be nice if it came in the morning, SOLELY because I'm on the East Coast and I'll be LESS worried about servers going down for activation! :)

And for those of you (like me) whose shipping shows "UPS Worldwide" -- think of this ...

... ASSUMING that Apple "stopped" morning deliveries of iPhones, consider this: since the full day's packages are put on the truck in the morning, how will the driver tell NOT to deliver a Worldwide package after 10:30am? How can the driver tell that what's in the box is an iPhone 5? Maybe someone ordered an unlocked iPhone 4S!

At least from past experience, Apple hasn't printed on the box "Hey I'm an iPhone 5 - DON'T deliver me until the end of the day!"
Of course "end of day" doesn't mean AT the end of the day, it means BY the end of the day. Why on earth would Apple stop morning deliveries? And I'm pretty sure the UPS drivers will know that the boxes contain iPhone 5s.

Does ups use dedicated delivery trucks for launch day deliveries in large metros? Or should I expect mine on my normal truck at work, which usually rolls in about 1048 am. :D

No dedicated trucks for launch day deliveries. Your regular UPS guy will have your delivery.

Mine switched today to "delivers on 21st", so I am not.
But I was going to wait until late Thursday to see if it goes into prepared for shipping before I commit to standing in line.

Were you a 10/5 baby as well? I've been thinking of cancelling and waiting in line.

Can you believe I live across the street from a UPS hub and I bet they'll come at 7pm EST like always. I'm their last stop.

That is ironic and a little frustrating that youre so close...but so far away  Maybe you can notify them ahead of time and ask to have it set aside so you can just pick it up.

Anyway to get UPS to deliver my phone to my office instead of home? Apple would not let me send it there when i ordered. It is in transit now.
