I did exactly this! All I get is a message in red reading that it could not be found or whatever.

Who asked if I got a serial number? Where do I get a serial number?

Look on page 1 of this thread, there is a link to your support profile. Your profile has a list of registered devices, including the new iPhone if its been allocated to you yet.

If your new phone is not listed, they haven't set aside a phone for you yet, so it won't have a UPS label or tracking number.

There are several folks monitoring this thread that are in the same boat.

My serial number was allocated to me about 5:45 p.m. EDT today, but still no tracking info at the UPS site (none at FedEx, either), so I guess the wheels of progress are moving very slowly!

Take note of the phone number(s) listed on the left and make sure you are searching for those in you tracking effort.

Well, mine left AK at 12:58 and that's the last update.

Still says delivery by end of day :(, but support.apple.com has a serial number next to it, so all's good.

BUT...this flip phone is killing me...I never T9 texted before, so ANNOYING. Lucky for me, I don't have many texting friends and iMessage works on my Mac.

Hmmm...now it just says 9/21...no more 'end of day.'

is there a web cam here?!? louisville hub........apple maps would be so mad at me!!

To start them through the sort, a UPS employee scans your packages' labels and places them on three different conveyors:

The tickets are in a flat letter envelope, which goes with the smalls. Most smalls are letters and other documents. Each small goes into its own tray on a conveyor belt.
The Batmobile is in an ordinary, 6-sided box, so it goes with the other 6-sided packages on another conveyor belt.
The Lightsaber definitely isn't a small, and it's too long to go on the conveyor with the 6-sided boxes. It goes with the other irregularly-shaped packages, known as irregs. Each irreg goes under elastic straps on flat cars that carry them along the conveyor belt.

Your thumbs are going to get more exercise than they've had in years, will be pumping them up :)

It's hot off the production line. It was made last week. Mine is also a week 37.

Given that some people here are still waiting to even see their package in the UPS system, I feel fortunate that I've been able to track mine to Louisville, arrived there at 12:07 this morning. Sadly patience is not my strongest suit so I WANT IT TO MOVE ALREADY! Really it's all fun, I love the preorder forums and tracking the packages and griping about the status. I hope everyone gets to see some movement soon.

My white 16gb AT&T iP5 has been chilling in Nasville, TN... better not bring home any country music STDs!!!

Its going to eventually make its way to Louisville, wait there, and then be shipped from there to your local hub and to you in time to reach your place just in time.
