Hopefully it just was not scanned yet after getting to KY, but just being on a flight wouldn't be bad either..

Its not only that plane/shipment. There are phones that came in from Addison, probably by truck, that don't have Louisville arrival scans.

Does anyone's iphone from 09/16 still seating at Addison, IL ???

my iphone is here from last three days now.. and not moving..

Do we have to pre-sign for the shipment on Friday if we won't be home with UPS? I remember having to do it with FedEx but I don't remember UPS requiring it.

For those of you worried about ip5s still in AK, have hope! A few minutes ago (9:30 a.m. EDT) FedEx delivered my Lightning to USB cable. Last night at 11 p.m. EDT it was still in AK according to FedEx tracking. Warp speed! :D

By the way, despite the grumblings about the new connector, I like it. Very small! Now I just need the ip5 to plug it into. Come on, Friday!

Our iPhones must be having a heck of a party & bon fire in 'tucky, if they haven't moved in over 24hrs lol

Lets hope they didn't get into any bad moonshine and aren't moving at all. :) I hear its a dry warehouse and they had to sneak refreshments by the guards.

I wonder what the loss ration is for these? Especially since they are so highly sought after already.

Nothing like sprinkling a little panic among fellow obsessive compulsives.

I believe the ones in KY are being held. They will probably move tonight.

Apple's directive to UPS is that signature is required. It is not clear yet if you will be able to pre-sign or leave a signed form on your door. Usually those options only show up when you get the official shipping notice from Apple.

Hrm, mine still says preparing to ship but have a delivery date of 09/21. Purchases made through the Apple store app.

These ship from HK, right? Guess mine will be here the last possible second on Friday ... if at all. :(

You correct. From UPS site: "Important information for iPhone Customers
Apple has required that UPS deliver iPhone shipments to customers on and not before Friday, September 21, 2012. iPhone’s are scheduled for Friday, September 21 2012 and have a delivery commitment of the end of day. Why isn't my package moving? The packages are being staged in key locations and moved on a coordinated schedule for delivery on the shipper's planned release date, Friday, September 21, 2012."

That sucks, I never received the shipping notice from Apple, as I'm sure most have not.

I would be worried if I didn't do the reference tracking. My order on Apples website still says preparing for shipment and has since Sunday. Arrived in KY last night.

I think they will mostly move tomorrow and tomorrow night. My thinking is that if they move tonight than it is more likely that they will accidentally get mixed in with the other over night shipments which would cause them to be delivered a day early making apple very mad.

Has anyone else ordered more than 1 phone with the same account and only having UPS track one of them with the reference number?

The fact that Apple hasn't changed status or sent ship notices with less than 48 hrs before scheduled deliveries tell you that things haven't gone as expected. I have no confidence in UPS being able to deliver anything much less a million phones the same day. I am not expecting to get any notices from Apple before Friday.

My situation for about 24 hours. Eventually the second phone showed up, right after the SN showed up on apples support site. It was sitting in Addison. Some here think their orders got consolidated for shipment and would have one tracking number, but mine did not as far as I can tell.

Just about everyone has this status, some are still processing.

For those that missed it. You can go to the UPS tracking website and choose "by reference". In the reference field you can either put your phone number (the one on the order, not necessarily the one on your cell phone) and then fill out the zip code field and it'll pop something up. Worked for me and others. Mine still says processing as well but I now have a tracking number going this way.

For those keeping track, mine left Alaska and hasn't really gone anywhere since?

ok if I change the delivery to the "will call" option it tells me "Package held for pickup at a UPS operating facility."

so basically if it gets to the operating facility on Thursday night / early friday morning, I can just drive to that operating facility as soon as they open and just pick it up? Anybody done this before and had any success with it?

Every time I have picked up a package at a UPS facility, they've told me between 8-8:30pm only. The 3 or 4 times I've had to do this was due to failed delivery attempts. I don't know I'd will call works differently.

Neither do I, I just used tracking by reference. According to apple I'm preparing to ship, according to ups, my iPhone has been flying for the last 33 hours.

What reference number did you use?

I'm hoping that all the phones are sitting in a warehouse in North America already just waiting to be shipped overnight express.

----------

On the same boat but in Mississauga!! Do u think we'll get it buy Friday

Depends on where the phones are now. They could be in china, could be down the street from us. Who know?

When I check Apple.com/orderstatus

Mine still says "Preparing for Shipment"

But it says Delivers 9/21. You guys think I should be worried? I Pre-ordered at 2:11 AM CT Friday morning(Went on pre-order here at 2am).

I did have to call Apple and change my shipping address, so maybe that is what is slowing it down???

There are more detailed instruction on page one of this thread. You usually search for your billing phone number.

everyone is on same boat, Apple hasn't marked any orders as "shipped". I would be worried if UPS didn't have any tracking info tho.
