When I check Apple.com/orderstatus

Mine still says "Preparing for Shipment"

But it says Delivers 9/21. You guys think I should be worried? I Pre-ordered at 2:11 AM CT Friday morning(Went on pre-order here at 2am).

I did have to call Apple and change my shipping address, so maybe that is what is slowing it down???

Everyone's Apple order status is either has preparing for shipment or processing.

Do we have to pre-sign for the shipment on Friday if we won't be home with UPS? I remember having to do it with FedEx but I don't remember UPS requiring it.

I posted a few pages back, but as far as presigning, I went through this with UPS and then Apple, they are not allowing us to presign for them. Apple rep, gave me the option to have it shipped somewhere else, but not allowed to authorize it to be left at the door. I spoke with UPS and also Apple, couldnt get anywhere with either of them. Hope it works out for you!

How is everyone pulling up the UPS tracking info if nobody has the tracking numbers? I have tried my Apple order #s (I have 3 separate ones) - which all show "Delivery on 9/21" - under the "Track by Reference" on UPS's site, and nothing comes up at all. Am I missing something? Do I have to input them somewhere else? FedEx didn't pull anything up either...

Thanks!

Is every that has their phone currently in Louisville, still show "Arrival Scan" with yesterday's date?

No, mine didn't even got the arrival scan, and last update is the day before

The shipped email from Apple (if they ever send it) will have a link to pre-sign, or it will be shown next to your order in your Apple online account. That's how is has always worked.

See the first page of this thread, but under the reference if you enter your billing phone number into ref number area. Use the billing phone number that is on file with apple.

I have the same thing when mine left anchorage. Scanned as a departure scan just after midnight yesterday........still no update on it today. Its lost........and lonely.

You haven't received notice from Apple that it shipped, because technically, it hasn't. It won't "ship" until it leaves the depot en route to final destination. And to not have confidence is crazy, have you never ordered anything over night? It leaves its location, gets to an overnight hub, aka airport, then flies to your distribution hub. Will UPS be humping it on Friday, no doubt. They have way to much to lose if they screw up. I have a feeling there will be some drivers out on some VERY late routes. Mine is coming to my office and we are a major UPS customer, so in that, it should be on my regular delivery. If not, I will drive to Irving on Saturday morning to pick it up. And yes, that's a haul and inconvenient, but it is what it is. I doubt I will die. I might want to, but doubt I will.

Has anyone else ordered more than 1 phone with the same account and only having UPS track one of them with the reference number?

I ordered 3 and can only find 1 tracking number. O well not worried since all 3 have showed up on my apples support page.

Use your phone number tied to your billing info. Mine only has two reference #'s neither is my apple order #

You can not presign for apple products sent UPS. You must be there to sign for it or pick it up at night at the facility after the driver attempts the delivery during the day.

The fact that Apple hasn't changed status or sent ship notices with less than 48 hrs before scheduled deliveries tell you that things haven't gone as expected. I have no confidence in UPS being able to deliver anything much less a million phones the same day. I am not expecting to get any notices from Apple before Friday.

You don't know anything, completely talking out of your anus!
Louisville, KY is UPS's air hub called Worldport. Everyone who has a phone there will be fine and receive their package as expected. Don't be a jackass. You think UPS can't handle an extra 10-30 small packages a truck on 1 day in September? Give me a break, you obviously haven't seen how these trucks go out during Christmas. UPS can easily handle the iPhone Launch! Don't be such a negative doomsdayer.

It seems like everything Apple and UPS has done so far is in preparation for shipment and Friday delivery, and keeping boxes from escaping early. They have been staging phones in protected warehouses and labeling the boxes for destination, getting that out of the way early. It just happens that UPS's USA tracking system is perhaps more open and organized than others, so we can get some visibility into where the box labeled for our order happens to be.

iPhone 5 16GB Black AT&T
Delivers 9/21
Ordered: 3:39AM ET via app

Status: Processing Items

No product info on support page. No shipping record. :)

I am in your same boat. I ordered mine at like 3:40 AM ET. After talking with apple's customer support I was told that we are still scheduled to receive it on 9/21. That the rest of the phones will be shipped out today. So I would expect to see something later in the day. If not I will just call until they give me my phone.
