Mine has been in Louisville, Kentucky, since 2012-09-18 at 12:07 AM. It looks like a number of phones are in this same place.

iPhone 5 black and slate, AT&T, confirmation email received at T+12 minutes.

No one's have "officially" shipped via the Apple website. You'll get it - don't worry.

Our guess is the shipment notifications will go out tomorrow.

Thanks! Some people are reporting they already have their tracking numbers. Kind of got me worried.

No. See info in the first post. No one's order has changed to shipped.

My apologies! I did not read the original post, just went straight to the last page. I was able to find my package on UPS. It's currently in Alaska and still scheduled to arrive on the 21st! Whew!

This. Several reps keep telling people this. I think some are just uninformed on how to do an upgrade swap.

They bring on extra people because of volume and not all know how to do it correctly. The one that did mine last year for the 4S messed it up and I had to go to the store the next day for a new sim (that they tried to charge me for).

I'm still "Preparing for Shipment" and STILL can't track by reference number... Says "Not found" no matter what I use as the reference number.

Tried all cell phone numbers, order number, order number without the last two digits... Nothing.

Getting concerned.

No, I know for sure. 100%. Apple Requires a signature at time of delivery when shipped UPS. The signature release sticky is only to release packages that do not require signature requested by the shipper. They are for, for example, apartments where it is not safe for the ups driver to release the package as it could be stollen so he must obtain a signature even when not required by the shipper. Where as a house in a nice neighborhood, the risk is low and may be able to be placed out of sight so the UPS Driver will leave the package when then shipper does not require a signature.

Apple(the shipper) Requires A Signature be obtained at time of delivery. Therefor Your UPS driver may not release this package without a signature in person due to APPLE'S Request!
YOU(or someone at the Address) HAVE TO BE THERE!!!!

I wouldn't go with a 100%. This is right off Apples website where they talk about pre signing for your package. Copy and paste from their website:

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.

Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple

There are two ways you can Pre-sign for your shipment:

Click the Pre-sign for this shipment link in your Shipment Notification email

Visit online Order Status and click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.

You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.

For safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion. If you are unable to access the Pre-sign Form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!

Mine says the same, only thing that worries me is I was watching the news the other night and it said "strong storms moving through Alaska"

You don't need another sim to do a upgrade swap...All you have to do is call ATT and they make the sim that came in the phone activate on a different line. Did it last year with my 4S and will be doing it again with my iP5 this year. The whole phone call only took 5 minutes.

Okay great. Wasn't sure if it would be tied to the line I upgraded on. Thanks!

My 16GB Black/Slate ordered at 12:10am pst on the Apple App Store isn't showing up on UPS or Fedex...

Tried all sorts of things as the reference :(

I'm in the same boat... Preparing for shipment since Sunday and still can't find anything with a reference number.

It still says 9/21 so I'm not too concerned.
