No, I know for sure. 100%. Apple Requires a signature at time of delivery when shipped UPS. The signature release sticky is only to release packages that do not require signature requested by the shipper. They are for, for example, apartments where it is not safe for the ups driver to release the package as it could be stollen so he must obtain a signature even when not required by the shipper. Where as a house in a nice neighborhood, the risk is low and may be able to be placed out of sight so the UPS Driver will leave the package when then shipper does not require a signature.
Apple(the shipper) Requires A Signature be obtained at time of delivery. Therefor Your UPS driver may not release this package without a signature in person due to APPLE'S Request!
YOU(or someone at the Address) HAVE TO BE THERE!!!!
I wouldn't go with a 100%. This is right off Apples website where they talk about pre signing for your package. Copy and paste from their website:
If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.
Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple
There are two ways you can Pre-sign for your shipment:
Click the Pre-sign for this shipment link in your Shipment Notification email
Visit online Order Status and click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.
You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.
If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.
For safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion. If you are unable to access the Pre-sign Form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!
