hey, so for everyone who is worrying about not being home on Friday to get their phones..i just talked to UPS and they said once you get the infonotice on your door, you can tell them to hold at UPS facility and pick it up saturday morning. you'd have to call them before 7pm, your time, though to get it saturday. that's not too bad!

In Apple years, that's an eternity.

Thus, the reason I had mine shipped to my job. UPS delivers here around noon, I learned my lesson with the iPad

I too am using Deliveries by June Cloud. Love it!
My 5 is also stuck in the air from Alaska!

I also took Friday as a work from home day so I can make sure I am there when it comes.

So what tracking service are y'all using, the UPS app (broken in iOS 6 for me) or June cloud, which is what I'm using.

I use TrackThis. Works great for me. Normally picks up on updates pretty fast.

is anyone else's order still processing but says delivery on the 21st? I'm a bit concerned that everyone else is getting shipping info and is actually going as far as to track the plane's they're on for whatever reason, but mine still says processing and not even preparing for shipment.

Ordered at 3:20am last Friday, still says to deliver on 9/21. Moved from Processing to Preparing for Shipment on Sunday. No update since. China is a long way from Indiana...

Understandable. Here, too, but i know the guys in the mailroom really well. Luckily they overlooked the rule for me this time.

For credit cards Apple put a temporary hold on to verify funds, that came off after a couple days. When they get ready to officially ship they process the payment.

I think debit cards got deducted/paid right away.

concerned about what? half of us that have 16g black iphones have been in the USA since the 15th and haven't moved yet. it will come down worry

The email notification for my shipment from Apple says

We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 21/09/2012.

But, the Apple website tracking states.....(click on track shipment)

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Sep 21, 2012



On or before? I doubt they would deliver this tomorrow, but I am staying in all day anyway. I thought I'd give the US guys a heads up so we are not all worrying about these details tonight (6pm US / ship time) or on Launch day.

2 Packages showing up in UPS tracking

Does anybody else show 2 packages when they track by reference number? I only ordered 1 iPhone but it is showing 2 packages on the UPS website. Anybody know why this is?

Yes, considering that no one in the public has a iPhone5 yet, any comparison is purely conjecture.

My order status still says preparing for shipment, but they took the money out of my account, it's no longer pending and I've been able to track my iPhone on UPS anyway. Hurry up, Friday!

How exactly are u able to track your order without a tracking number?????

Some banks process faster than others so your timing varies....

I'm on the same flight. Kinda annoying. I'm assuming its in Louisville, they either didn't scan it or it hasn't updated via their website. I expect some movement soon however

i ordered on the apple website on the 17th and my order status is this:
Processing Items Dispatched: 2 - 3 Weeks Delivers 09 Oct, 2012 - 15 Oct, 2012

is it right to be still 'processing items'? just checking , and also could it actually come maybe a week before that, e.g 02 oct?

No I didn't order anything else but the phone. It shows they are the same tracking number, but there is two of them.
