The UPS and Apple customer service people probably hate it when a new iPhone is released.

UPS still shows mine departed from Alaska. They must be really backed up and not updating the tracking info. Who else is in the same boat?

Lol, can you imagine the mass panic that's gonna be on this thread Thursday night? Friday morning will probably be worse. Everyone will be waiting for the "On vehicle for delivery" status.

I got an answer from someone willing to help already, thanks but no thanks, going to ups.com track by reference and put it number without the dash wasn't so hard to type

Its much easier to just copy and paste in "see page one" instead of typing answers to the similar newbe questions hundreds of times. Just about everything is covered there. Folks like you help with this threads post count, however, so thank you very much

How long did it take for UPS tracking to work after you got your Shipped status from Apple.com ?

Go to ups.com go to track by reference and enter ur billing phone number without dashes and it should come up

Processing Items Dispatched: 2 - 3 Weeks Delivers 09 Oct, 2012 - 15 Oct, 2012

is it right to be still 'processing items'? just checking , and also could it actually come maybe a week before that, e.g 02 oct?

Mine is finally showing up in the UPS system! Started in Nashville and then was in Louisville late last night. Delivery between 1:30 and 5:30 on Friday!!

I'm on that 12:58 from Anchorage but I never got a thing on UPS that said I'm in Louisville! What gives!

It wouldn't surprise me (an it wouldn't be unheard of) if your order is still in the processing state right up to October 9.

Rumor has it that some of the orders taken a few hours into the pre sale that have a 5 Oct delivery date may actually be delivered early, but you should have had a notice by now. My previous experience suggest that if Apple commits to a date like Oct 9-15 you will get your phone during that time period. They have such a good handle on supply chain side of the business that their prediction are conservative but typically right on.

absolutely, but im not going to worry, i've had plenty of packages that got delievered that didn't update to "on vehicle for delivery"

People like you are the ones who put the count up, by not minding ur business so thank you very much, some people have actual jobs and can't be reading every post like you, in my case I'm a family law lawyer and I was helping a women finish taking a house away from her husband in trial all day hope she wasn't your wife because we won

LOL...no. IT Geek. And thank you for the foundation to work from; I think some of it is still your exact words.

Checked AT&T's website, and the item status has changed to Shipped. The tracking number, carrier, and ship date are still blank, though. I'm in NYC and ordered around 6:45 am.

Sorry, I did AT&T last year so haven't kept up with the happenings this year. This may help, I recall having a tracking number, but the first update I had on it was when the phone was delivered to my home. The other crazy thing, they finally charged my credit card a week after that.

That's part of why I ordered from Apple this year.

As you can imagine, it gets very frustrating seeing people who don't even take a few minutes to read even a few posts above their own ask the same questions over and over and over. Therefore, instead of getting upset with their laziness and losing my temper, I find it easier to ask them to read the original post that I've been working hard to keep updated for their benefit.

Mine shows that it delivers on Sept. 21 but hasn't shipped yet. Not looking good, unless they are warehousing them very close to my home!
