Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

So what tracking service are y'all using, the UPS app (broken in iOS 6 for me) or June cloud, which is what I'm using.

How exactly are u able to track your order without a tracking number?????

go to www.ups.com and click on tracking and then Track by Reference and then type in your billing phone number without dash and click TRACK

I bought Applecare and there is no extra box or tracking. That charge was paid days ago BTW.

Hah, mine is showing the same exact thing. I wouldn't worry. May have something to do with timezones.

Timezones going in that direction would lengthen the trip. 12:58am alaska time is sometime around 3 or 4 am Ky time.

And my payment went out of my account in less than 30 seconds after purchase.

It's all different depending on who you bank with, what account you have (Cash card or current/credit card) etc.

No I didn't order anything else but the phone. It shows they are the same tracking number, but there is two of them.

Pretty sure I read they do ship something to you. Saw another post about it a few days back.

You will sometimes get a small envelope in the regular mail with the legalese and fine print.

You are talking about in the future, right? My tracking works now but Apple does not show shipped status.

Read the OP. Nobody in the US has a Shipped status.

I found my iPhone 5 through "Track by reference", but still have not gotten the e-mail from Apple saying my phone is shipped. Maybe I am just stressing, but its frustrating since I need to pre-sign for the phone! Has anyone else still not gotten their "shipping confirmation email" from Apple??

I believe with the iPhone 4 I was able to track my shipment but did not get the shipping notice until the day before the release. I am guessing the US orders will receive shipping confirmation overnight tonight or tomorrow evening. Then you will be able to print out the signature release.

Checked AT&T's website, and the item status has changed to Shipped. The tracking number, carrier, and ship date are still blank, though. I'm in NYC and ordered around 6:45 am.

I believe this thread is in reference to orders from apple.com directly. I've read several others ordered from ATT and I think Verizon with shipped status with Sept 21 deliveries..

For credit cards Apple put a temporary hold on to verify funds, that came off after a couple days. When they get ready to officially ship they process the payment.

I think debit cards got deducted/paid right away.

Ok. That makes sense. I was just wondering because mine did go through righ away and didn't want to get charged twice
