Rumor has it that some of the orders taken a few hours into the pre sale that have a 5 Oct delivery date may actually be delivered early, but you should have had a notice by now. My previous experience suggest that if Apple commits to a date like Oct 9-15 you will get your phone during that time period. They have such a good handle on supply chain side of the business that their prediction are conservative but typically right on.

You do realize that UPS can deliver from China to your front door by 10AM the next day, right?

Have you checked the OP for tracking info?

Mine did the same thing earlier in the day and it still hasn't returned to my account.

I'm pretty sure at a certain point they just stop scanning the containers until they are going to the actual sort. If I had to guess, the containers of iphones on that flight just got shoved to the side and will be going to sort tonight or tomorrow night. Mine is in that group too.

That is just the pre-auth dropping off. You'll eventually get a real charge. Last year I was charged a week after I had my new 4S in hand.

I wouldn't worry. I ordered 3 as well separately and the first tracking number that showed up was for my 64GB and 2 days later popped up 1 more tracking number for the other 2 16GB.
 
Guys some of them might not have been scanned at all after they landed in Louisville from AK, isn't it possible they went straight from the plane to a storage area. I mean mine has been sitting in Nashville from its original scan at 1am 9/17. Not necessarily a glitch or faulty scanning, it's probably in a huge container stuffed with iPhones.

We have the "Shipped" status in the UK from earlier tonight, but on the converse, any method to track via UPS isn't working.

Wow! A litle grumpy this afternoon. If you really wanted to inflict such pain on the poor guy you should have taken away his iPhone 5 when it arrives on Friday. I guess you have to draw the line somewhere.

Now, back to the real reason for this thread...:D

With my limited experience, they send the notice when they can commit to a much earlier date, usually a day or two before they actually ship. Otherwise the early notice is the shipping notice.

Not anyone in the US that ordered from Apple directly. Europe and ATT have been getting notices.
