Depends on where you are. Some places it is a different truck or a different round of deliveries but some places it is the same set on the same truck. Unlike FedEx, UPS doesn't necessarily separate ground, home delivery, and express shipments. (Well, UPS doesn't do home delivery, but you know what I mean)
 
German iPhone 64GB black here. It finally changed to "Preparing Shipment".
Thank God. I guess it might make it here till ahem tomorrow actually (since it is Thursday here since half an hour)
 
Clueless UPS guy

So, I got another UPS delivery today and asked if he was looking forward to Friday. I'm pretty sure he has no clue how much his Friday is going to suck yet since he made a comment about the weekend, and then looked bewildered when I said I was getting one. Sucks to be him on Friday.
 
Mine still says "Preparing for Shipment" on my oder history in the Apple website. Does this mean that it still hasnt shipped? It still says "Delivers 9/21"
 
I wonder how many total miles my phone will have traveled to get to me...
I'm so proud, my little phone is already so worldly! And at such a young age:D

I'm have a headache from all this OCD refreshing. I jist want it to be Friday.

On top of it all my mom decided to update her phone to IOS6 without consulting me first. It crashed during wireless update and didn't back up her phone first. Oh my
 
Where is my phone? C'mon UPS!! Update my status so I can know if my phone is anywhere close to San Antonio, TX!

I'm still at Preparing for Shipment.
Interesting note: my shipping method says Holiday Shipping. I guess you could call Friday a Holiday if this thing actually gets here.

Lots of people have the same status. Check late tonight or tomorrow night for movement.

Exactly.. I live in Kerrville, and it's bothering me that mine is still in IL....
 
I have seen some others like what I have below. I find it amusing that it shows it arriving in Kentucky even before it left Anchorage. The status on the top of the tracking page still shows that its on the plane. However, I am of the opinion that it is hanging out with the rest of its buddies just waiting to come home. I live in the southeast corner of Wisconsin and most the deliveries I've seen go to oak Creek, WI, south down I-94 to Sturtevant, WI, then on the truck for delivery. So excited!!

im so bummed right now. delivery is on friday.. i have class friday from 12-2:45... with my luck i know the ups guy will probably arrive around that time and no one else will be home until 3. im contemplating missing this class on friday.. but theres a quiz :/ AAAHH why?! :confused::confused::(
 
The charge has cleared my card, UPS is showing the tracking, Apple says delivery 9/21. It's starting to feel real. My first iPhone is coming!! :apple::eek::apple:

my order on apple.com still says Preparing for Shipment. It's said that since Saturday morning. I'm quite confused as it still says delivery 9/21. I read the original post but I don't get what that means to me since it hasn't been clocked in at Fedex or Ups. How are these coming anyways? I need to know what time people need to be home.

It means that it's preparing for shipment. The gnomes are working as hard as they can. They have short legs and tiny arms. This means they are not able to move packages that fast. Although the iPhone box is small, it is still large for a little gnome man or woman.
