iPhone 5 32gb Black for Verizon ordered through iOS App, received confirmation e-mail at 3:17am EST on the 14th. Still says processing but shipping has switched the "Holiday" like others here.

Placed my order on Friday at 12:11am. My order was at "processing order" until I got an email 30 minutes ago saying my order was cancelled because according to AT&T's records I was ineligible for an upgrade. Called AT&T and they said I am indeed eligible for an upgrade. Had to place a new order and now I'm in the October order range. BS!!!

Best I can tell after reading every post in this thread is that there is absolutely no pattern whatsoever to the sales that are getting ready for shipment today/early/whatever.

Seems to me is that who ever is staying with standard shipping is preparing for shipment while the Holiday Shipping people tend to be still in processing.
 
Anyone on Sprint have a preparing to ship status? Mine is still 'processing.'


Same here. Sprint, 64 GB white, still processing. I'd love to see threads that divide not only who your provider was, but also how you ordered the phone. I went to the Sprint thread and it's all about those who ordered through the Sprint website. I think it would be great to easily compare statues with other people who ordered from the same location AND have the same cell provider.

Doesn't disprove my theory yet. It's just they haven't gotten around to yours( by preparing or giving you Holiday Shipping). But, so far of every, " Preparing for Shipment" status people have posted, it's been with standard shipping. Haven't read anyone with Holiday Shipping going preparing.

Have proof? You can't simply say incorrect. Point out someone with holiday shipping going prepared. But, that has been the trend so far from what I have seen. It doesn't disprove my theory of the only people who are changing to Preparing for Shipment are the people with standard shipping by saying there are still people with standard shipment still processing. Holiday Shipment people who are preparing for shipment would disprove it.
 
You guys do realize that it basically went up for sale YESTERDAY. Things take time, Mine is still processing, switched to holiday shipping (which means 2-3 days) and im not worried. Relax, and put ductape over the f5 key.

It will be okay :)

Now whens mine going to ship, I needed it yesterday.

Wouldn't putting duct tape on the f5 key make it refresh constantly???
 
Apple care is attached to the phone serial. You dont receive anything in the mail to register since its registered with the phone when you buy it.

Here is the email I received:

I have a thought about the holiday shipping. Myself along with others who got upgraded to this shipping method, could it be possible that it'll ship later than peoples orders with standard shipping but still receive it on the 21st? Maybe so they could ship standard shipping orders first then do holiday shipping orders so they wouldn't have to ship all of them at once? Just a thought though.
 
Mine says preparing for shipment, ordered from apple.com at 315am when the pre orders opened up
 
Pre-ordered my white 32gb at 3:25am ET day of launch, and everything went fine. Got an email an hour ago saying my order was canceled because of a problem on AT&Ts side. After getting transferred back and forth from both Apple and AT&T, I was told that Apple's website enabling customers to select "invalid" data plans, and when AT&T goes it process it, it gets rejected. Not sure what they're talking about. I just selected my same phone plan and grandfathered Unlimitied Data. The email from Apple said to reorder it and they would "process it as quickly as possibly." I highly doubt I'll still get a phone on launch day now. Though I'll probably just try and pick one up from the store. So annoying!

16GB Black/Slate, Holiday Shipping, Processing...just received an email from AT&T about my iPhone CSS. Looking into it, it clearly states they are charging me their ridiculous upgrade fee. That being the case, I seriously doubt there is anything wrong with the order even though it is processing.
 
Man, I really hate to ask this if it was already covered, but was anyone else unable to choose a non-contract iPhone 5 when pre-ordering from Apple.com?

The only option I had was choosing the $200 off early upgrade option. In my panic, I didn't care to investigate more but placed the order anyways.

Really didn't want another 2 year contract but I heard others say you could purchase the off-contract price when preorders went live.

What was the status of your order prior to it being cancelled? In process or preparing for shipment?
