Whats that to do with my problem :p ?

It just seems logical that those first on preparing to ship should be first to be scanned into the UPS system, or whatever courier they use. But apparently not :(

They've been going in a strange order, I agree.

I used live chat last night and all I said was I ordered two iPhone 5s today on both lines on my account and wanted to inquire about having my upgrade fees credited to my account. He didn't hesitate and told me he put a notation on my account to remove them when they posted and for me to follow up via chat at that time. I also got sent a text confirming they would be removed.

Just called AT&T to find out how the swap would work (upgraded the other phone on my family plan), sounds like it's going to be really easy. I then just asked whether I would be charged an upgrade fee, rep said yes, the fee is already showing as processed but he'll remove it, which he did immediately, said the credit will show on my next bill. Sweet. Thanks AT&T!

UPS tracking info taken down?

Earlier UPS was giving me tracking info when entering my phone number. It now says nothing could be found. Wondering if UPS has taken that down until "officially" shipped?

Same, says not available. Bet it's just their site getting hammered from everyone trying to view their tracking? Site is slow right now.

Edit: Back up, tracking info up again.

You are right I can't even track it using the actual tracking number anymore...

You could try calling the UPS 800 number (800-742-5877). Normally, they're closed on Sundays but not on a week like this.

has anybody ever called UPS and received info other that's what already in their web site? sounds like the operators use the same interface the public does

Their CS systems update before ours, normally. I have family that used to work for UPS, and quit days after starting. It was only a suggestion because the website was down. :/

Mine is still "processing items" with no pending charges yet to my CC.

Delivers 9/21 via standard shipping

32GB iP5 AT&T

Just process it already Apple!!

Same here. Ordered ATT 16GB on Friday at around 215AM CST. Added Applecare+ on Friday afternoon after talking to Apple. Still says "Processing items". Called Apple now and they said to give it time until a weekday as very few work on weekends. I wonder how everyone is getting their Reference numbers for shipping while mine is still under "Processing Items". Strange.

Its just killing me. I check the site at least 4 times a day. I ordered mine around 2:25am CST

Hmm ... UPS is the carrier for launch day? That DOES NOT bode well for MY order! :-(

In 2009 I ordered for launch day the 3GS, and UPS was the carrier. 3GS was supposed to deliver via UPS Worldwide -- as many of you noted, delivery is supposed to be by 10:30AM / 12 noon. (http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/express.html) Since I live in a condo building in the MIDDLE of Downtown Boston, I had thought "no big deal"!

In MY case, the problem is NOT with UPS itself -- it's with my driver. With 100s of residents here, "home" deliveries occur in late afternoon, despite many businesses and offices in the building. That's fine -- if my/pur packages don't have a time commitment.

Did the driver deliver my 3GS before 10:30AM (or noon)? No ... on the tracking info, the driver reported an error of "ADDRESS NOT FOUND". Despite my address was correct with Apple; and correct on Apple's shipping label.

Conclusion: my driver didn't want to make a special third trip for the dozens of 3GS packages to be delivered to me and other residents.

To me, getting it at 10:30AM or 6PM makes little difference to me -- EXCEPT for one thing: the earlier I get it, the earlier I can do iTunes activation, thus avoid the traffic from activations on the West Coast. So in THIS case, there's a practical reason to get it early. Not to mention the FACT that delivery commitment from UPS Worldwide is 10:30AM or 12 noon.

Now I'm faced with the same situation. IF the same or similar event occurs, that will be telling.

I HOPE I'm wrong -- and if I am, I'll be the first to apologize right here!

But it doesn't look good.

It's interesting that I ordered two phones (2 separate orders, since Apple wouldn't let me add a second phone to the cart), and UPS shows one tracking number only.

Our phones are travel buddies.

I ordered two. I still don't have any tracking number. :p

Ordered mine at 3:40am est, 32gb black AT&T on apple.com. Still says processing but with a delivery of 9/21 via standard shipping. Hopefully it gets upgraded soon.

Ordered white 32 GB 3:41 AM EDT Friday. Checking UPS using my home phone number (thanks for the tip; no other method worked) shows as "Order processed; ready for UPS". Which I suppose is no different than the "Preparing for shipment" Apple shows but still happy it's showing up on UPS.
