Mine shipped using Track by Reference on UPS!

Yup. I can confirm that the web order # without the last two numbers is indeed one of my 6 reference numbers.
 
I ordered a Verizon 64GB from the store app at about 12:15 AM PST. Still in processing. I'm in Northern California. Anyone else with the same config see any progress yet?

whoa i did this and got someone else's package, im in houston, this person lives in holly hills, fl
 
Ordered iPhone 5 Black & Slate 16GB AT&T at 12:06AM PST via Apple Store app.

UPS track by reference now shows that the device will be shipping from Nashville, TN via Next Day Air Saver (end of day delivery).

Yea that was my worry, that they might do it for some and not others or might be bulking them... try including your zip code when you track for it. That will weed out the others I guess.
 
Anyone still processing items?? Also, for the people that can track by UPS reference, what does you apple.com order status say?

Odd, just looked at the times. My origin scan appeared first. :confused: oh well.

The AT&T rep I just spoke with said all I have to do when I get the iPhone 5 is call and tell them what number I want to use it with. Sine my other family plan person will get my 4S, we just transfer the SIM card from her iPhone 4 (the one we used for the upgrade) to my 4S, and call AT&T with the IMEI numbers and that's it. He said I do not have to activate the iPHone 5 on the line I ordered it with. I guess we'll find out for sure once we have our phones and call AT&T to activate them.

Just to confirm, you ordered from Apple? Maybe they were assembling a bunch of 16GB this whole time because thats the entry level model and the most popular one.

Got my tracking number

I like how it says delivery by 1030am-noon

I'm not holding my breath. Last 3 preorders came in well after 7pm

Yes, this is normal. We describe it as an upgrade swap in the Upgrade Guide (top of this forum).

Ditto. Apple site shows my order is preparing for shipment, UPS site shows my package is in transit, UPS rep says it's in customs. My theory is that once it passes customs and moves on, my Apple order status will change to shipped. Just a theory.
 
Still no tracking info. My 32gb Black for Verizon has been preparing for shipment for over 24 hours. Tried basically every phone number and my order number. Nothing!
 
I just checked UPS 5 minutes ago, with no results...

Checked just now, and now it is pulling information.

Looks like it is coming from Nashville, TN. I am in Decatur, IL so I don't think it will take until the 21st to get here.. but I know from experience that things shipped UPS rarely arrive before the delivery date. Although it has happened to me before.

Also is this 16 gb att and what was the order time?

No, I was 2 weeks Oct 5th delivery from the get-go

Also, what is "processing purgatory"? I'm on Processing Item's and have been since I ordered. My card hasn't been charged either
 
You guys are getting caught up in the geographical holding area and the shipping dates. You may get your phones a day early, but you will not get them 2, 3, 4 days early. There are very VERY one off instances where people got their gear ubsurdely late (iP3GS, iP4) but the really early (incorrect) deliveries got cut down. Apple can and has told these guys to hold onto the hardware until friday and they will happily oblige, unfortunately.
