Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.


Anyone else get this with the reference number?

Mine too lol and I've even seen ups come as late as 830 in the middle of the summer here in nyc, staten island to be exact but according to the ups tracking where it shows the service type it is coming Ups worldwide express and that says orders come between 1030 or 12 So hopefully that's true in this case

There might be a difference in business and residential delivery time. So far it seems:

"holiday shipping": Originated in the U.S., NDA saver, 3pm business, EOD residential.
"standard shipping": Originated in Asia: worldwide express, 10:30 to 12, but may fall in line with normal NDA: 10:30 to 12 to business and EOD residential.

Mine went straight to the Addison, IL orgin scan.
 
Something seems strange with my tracking reference. I contacted UPS via chat and asked them where my package is headed and what is the current step and the keep saying this "Thanks for your patience ----------, your package has been consolidated with other Amazon book returns and will be delivered in the near future, to obtain the most recent delivery status, I suggest monitoring this tracking number on our web site using the following link:

Sing in and click the tracking tab --> My choice tab. Then on the right there is a preferences link. The delivery instructions option you can waive it.

I must be slow and stupid cause I can't find it lol. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Update: I read that it takes 90 minutes after signing up for the option to become available. Thanks for help!

I just got off the phone with UPS after calling multiple times to make sure what I was being told was true.

So who ever ordered more than two iPhones and can find tracking information using the reference tool and has Addison, IL as the latest scan most likely your package is being merged into one.

Amazon is doing the merging (I know it sounds weird but that is what the UPS people told me). Hopefully be later tonight we get some updates on our tracking but we still have four days before 9/21 so don't worry.

Meaning, your phones aren't actually in Addison, IL yet. They are probably in transit to there, and will by merged to that single tracking number once they've come in from China.

They are in Addison, IL and they have been merged I contacted them again.
 
Now I'm really worried. Still seeing Order Processing on Apple's website. Also still seeing "Delivers 9/21". No mention of holiday shipping or standard shipping and its not showing up in my Support Profile. Ordered on 9/14 at 3:28am EST. I did have a payment error but took care of it the next day. Any ideas?
 
Woo hoo! Mine has already left Nashville, considering I live 5 hours south in Atlanta I imagine the UPS guy is just going to wait in my driveway till Friday morning :D
 
My tracking info now says that my iPhone has left Nashville! My phone is now on its way to California with delivery on 9/21!

Don't worry. If it says 9/21, you will get it 9/21.

It probably won't come on 9/21. You'll be lucky to get it before Halloween.
 
Does anyone have a UPS My Choice membership? It won't allow me to change the delivery address.


I found this on the site and believe this may be the reason I can't change the shipment address.

For example, if you purchase prescription medication, perishable items, or high value merchandise, the shipper may decide that certain change delivery options (e.g., Deliver to Another Address or Deliver to a UPS Retail Location) will not be available for that delivery.

note: I ordered two iPhone 5s and was able to change the shipment address on one phone while the order was processing, but the other order changed to, "preparing for shipment" before I could change the shipping address.


I was thinking of upgrading my membership thinking that would allow me to change the delivery address, but after reading the above I am questioning the upgrade.
