Apple Confirms Many Apple Watch Pre-Orders Will Arrive Sooner Than Expected

42mm SG with black sport band, ordered 3:02am EST, confirmation email 3:03am. CC was just charged, no update on apple.com yet, still processing. Everyone needs to chill the heck out.

EDIT: now says preparing for shipment, about 10 minutes after I saw the card charged (which I see on my phone the split second it happens
 
Payment Processed

Just had my payment go through for my 42mm SG Sport with black band.

I had a email confirmation at 3:03 am est and a delivery date of 4/24-5/8.

Also, status has changed to preparing for shipment.

Excited and want everyone to get theirs too!
 
I'm driving into Cincinnati on 75 N. Going the utter direction were 4-5 ups bug rigs with no trailers. 75 S heads straight to Louisville. Coincidence???

Nothing for me yet. Neither my 38mm SG sport (May 13-27) nor my 42mm SG sport (June) have been charged nor shipped yet. Both ordered on the 10th.
 
I order around 9:15am EST on pre-order day one. 42mm Sport Silver Aluminum.

I'm still on processing and June.

(Pointless comment just to be part of the convo)

On a side note, I stopped by my Apple Store yesterday and tried on both sizes. Thankfully I chose right, the smaller one is just way to small on me. The photos and videos are deceiving.
 
Ordered SS 42mm white band on April 15th, London UK. Got a June delivery.

My order has changed to 'preparing for dispatch' and my debit card has been billed!

Trying not to get too excited...

A lot of anguish and bitterness going on in here for a product that "wouldn't sell", is "unnecessary" and will be "unreliable in the initial rollout".

I guess you can "call it" whatever you want, but perhaps you might be on the wrong webpage...perhaps you are looking for the "Samsung Gear" SS black with black band, because an Apple version like that is not available!

Typically I find if you order a popular/limited edition burger that takes more time to make, the person serving will take your money and move onto the next customer and process their order while you wait. Would you say "Hey, no! You have to wait until I have my complete order!"? Probably not. This might mean the guy behind you will get his food before you because he ordered something else that was more readily available.

With the watch you don't need to be a logistics expert to understand that if your order was for a popular model then that order will be delayed until they can get that model. That certainly does mean they'll skip over you and move onto someone else while they're waiting for you.

And yes, I'm in the same boat. 24/4-8/5 and still not even charged for my SG watch.

42 Sport SG... prepping

Just got notification of credit card charge. Looks like the SG was last to arrive in U.S. and be updated. As silly as all this is it's still a fun ride :D

Next thread Saturday morning, my alarm didn't go off cause battery died :D

That's great news. You are one of the first I have seen with that configuration to get charged and a shipping notice. Hopefully I will get an update soon. :D
 
Woohoo!!!

I've never been so happy to see a notification from my bank that Apple just charged 400 bucks to my account, just checked the status and it finally changed from Processing to Preparing for shipment.
42mm Space Gray sport watch.
New Jersey.
 
Apple knows how to market crap for sure. Wonder how many were on the fence thinking the have no need for this, until.... Sold out, shipping in 4-6 weeks. Uh oh, get one quick....

After seeing it in the store I confirmed even more securely that this is a fad and for most people useless. I can see some really narrow markets for a product like this, but in general, it is a VERY overpriced accessory for the iPhone and has a 1 year lifespan before this model is obsolete.

Wow, I'm not the only one. Anyone else surprised about the perception of size (and thickness) when they tried the watch on in store? Much smaller/thinner than expected. Apples photography, I tell ya.
 
WOOT! Apple charge for Wife's 38 mm SS w black sport band.

Just got the CC charge for this one about an hour ago. This watch was originally ordered the 10th with receipt from Apple at 1206 Pacific time. My green sport got charged on Monday.
Both are showing "Preparing to ship" but no tracking numbers for either.

In an earlier chat with Apple Store chatline, the representative seemed pretty positive that my outlook was good.

It's looking like there might be a good chance that me and the Mrs can start sending creepy heartbeats to each other on Friday!

Nothing for me yet, but it looks like they just started another wave of charges...hoping for the best here in Michigan!!
 
This is weird:

I just got off the phone with Apple, and they told me that the watches are basically already at the regional shipping centers, and people who live closer to those shipping centers still have the "processing" status because it will be quickly shipped once they are ready to send them out. I'm like, "yeah ok". When I get off the phone I noticed that there is a charge on my account for $69.00 "Apple Care" Now this is very strange. :confused:
