Eh? Everyone I know who has one really likes it.

Politically correct? Are you on the wrong forum?

Nope, both these gentlemen are in the right forum. They hate the product so it has to be useless and everyone buying it is either stupid or really stupid. After all, where else can they go and share their misery about a product they dont have!

This doesn't bode well for those who were hoping for a June refresh. Apple doesn't cut brand new ads for products 2.5 months away from being discontinued. Most likely going to be fall (October) at the earliest or even next spring.

The Rain and Find ones were the best of the bunch in their creativity to show off their respective feature. The odd music and colored backgrounds though are more creepy than unique

Further hinting that we are farther off from a new model then we may think.
Not necessarily. Apple typically still churns out ads as close as two months prior to a new generation's unveiling. The most recent example of this that I can think of was last year when they released new iPhone ads mid-summer, just a couple months before the 6s was announced.

The important thing to keep in mind is that even if they release a new ad the day before the product in question is updated, it will still have the purpose of advertising that product as well as the new one albeit minus the new features. Apple almost always keeps the older model but at a discounted price. So someone might see the ad and then hear about the lower price and be more inclined to buy it now; especially if they don't care about having the latest model, which most people do not. Now us Apple junkies on the other hand... ;)

You may think that if you hate a product, then its owners must also be stupid, but I choose not to practice such mindless prejudice.

Each to their own.

Or there will be no version 2.

if it was the same thickness as the digital crown diameter currently AND had GPS I would pre-order one. If it was the same thickness and had GPS I would buy one at some point after release. If it doesn't have GPS I will not buy it. From what I have read many others feel the same way. If I want to run I want GPS, if I want to play golf I want GPS, if I want it for navigation I want GPS. I can't imagine Apples employees haven't been telling them that they really wish it had GPS
I'd like to think that if you say GPS enough times in relation to Apple Watch, the google web spiders will eventually inform Apple how important it is that the Apple Watch have GPS without the phone. When the Apple Watch finally gets GPS, I too will actually cave and buy it. But I am never going to buy Apple Watch without GPS.

Apple should emphasize how convenient is Apple Watch for paying via NFC / Apple Pay, specially now that more vendors are requiring dipping the chip. My phone and my wallet stay in my pocket, and the NFC interaction is much faster than dipping.

I know people like you. I avoid them when possible :D

Exactly. Macrumors has become a cesspool of negativity and whiners. I miss when this place was a fan page.

I've recently rediscovered the "Ignore" feature and I've begun using it liberally. People like bladerunner2000 will never have anything interesting or positive to contribute. Add these kinds of people to the ignore list and improve your experience on Macrumors.

Does anyone know who is performing the song “Ready or Not” that is heard at the very end of the “Chase” ad?

I’m familiar with The Fugees’ version of it, which I really like, but I’ve never heard this version.

EDIT: Never mind. SoundHound identified it in like half a second!

Another really cool mix was used for the Toronto PanAm Games 2015 ad.

This one's by Mischa "Book" Chillak and strangely absent from Apple Music.

Fantastic ads that stylistically evoke the legendary iPod silhouette era while successfully demonstrating the usefulness of the AppleWatch in 15 second bites. Well done!

Incidentally, the Apple Watch reminds me of the original iPod in a lot of ways. Technology made personal in a small package that's fun to use. Even the Digital Crown reminds me of the Click Wheel.

Are these adds for the Apple watch or reminders of why we shouldn't by one? I clicked on the golf add hoping for something cool and saw a guy hit it in the water. The watch didn't show distance, didn't keep score and offered no information other then steps. Near as I could tell, it is not for golf.

The rain ad showed a women carrying an umbrella. I guess she knew it was going to rain without needing the watch. I didn't view the rest. Lost interest.

Let's hope that Apple doesn't put its head in the sand likewise.

If you don't fail, you won't succeed.

Those are perfect ads.

In just a few seconds they all manage to show real life use cases for the watch, in a very clear manner. Soundtracks are fantastic.

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses about the old days.

Go find the comments page on the 2001 iPod introduction article, same negativity, same "this is not Apple" attitude, same whining.

These people used to love "Apple the underdog", and would like to see Apple fall to have their beloved underdog back.

DO YOU OWN ONE? I love watch, I ACTUALLY use it on its own. it allows me to peek at email, messages etc. without drawing dirty looks from supervisors when a phone is pulled out. you are obviously misinformed or do not have first hand knowledge of its capabilities. Oh, and I can even play Pong on it, case closed.
Yeah it's only a matter of time before everyone's boss says.....quit looking at your damn watch all day!
[doublepost=1460418759][/doublepost]I say Apple needs to bring back Jeff Goldblum and make some sweet ads. Curious iPad sales are down and there's no advertising.
