These ads lack creativity and do very little to inspire.
My new car has the keyless entry and start thingamabob. Where I can leave my keys in my pocket/bag, and simply unlock my car by putting my hand inside the door handle, lock it by touching the door handle, and start the engine by pressing a button on the dash. As long as I have the key somewhere around me.
I thought that it would be cool, but no big deal, who cares geez I can just pull the damn key out of my bag and twist it in the ignition right? I really didn't appreciate how amazingly convenient and frictionless it would make things. Until I had it. Now I can never go back.
The Apple Watch is kind of like that. Turns very repetitive and mundane tasks into very lightweight and completely frictionless efforts, just by glancing at your wrist hands free. Doesn't sound very killer until you actually experience it. Now it feels like a chore to grab my phone out of my pocket just to view my latest text.
How spoiled, I know. I probably just wasted my breath, but what the hell I'm bored tonight![]()
I bet this guy is just a ton of fun to be around....
I dont think that's what Apple thinks either.. These ads are meant to show a few cool features but not show off everything it can doI think it's worth to pay $300 just for the lost iPhone feature.
Marketing changes. I think you need to adapt to new trends or you're only getting older. This is what will make it successful. In my opinion these ads are all so out of touch with reality.
Even the stylistic direction is surreal.
No one changes their Apple Watch band to pink to change their outfit style. No one uses their Apple Watch to turn off the lights.. The only realistically useful application is the find my iPhone feature.
This is a far cry to the simple 'I'm a PC' ad which used real world examples for real every day people.
The Apple of today seems to cater to an imaginary group of 'cool' models.
it's ArgusSorry for daft question, but what's the app in the Chase video/ad?

made me think of Kim Kardashian promoting the Hermès bands
I actually change my band to match the outfit. I don't have a use for pink though. And I do use the watch to turn off the lights. Guess I'm a "cool model". Yay!![]()
Nope, both these gentlemen are in the right forum. They hate the product so it has to be useless and everyone buying it is either stupid or really stupid. After all, where else can they go and share their misery about a product they dont have!
It turns people into robots. So dumb. The five-minute warning's the clincher.
lol
How about debuting a thinner watch instead of big clunk. Though, it makes one arm stronger than the other carrying that watch around.
I was born in the 90s and grew up in the 2000s... I'm smack bang in the middle of the target audience of these ads!I dont think that's what Apple thinks either.. These ads are meant to show a few cool features but not show off everything it can do

I probably shouldn't even ask this but I'll bite....how the hell are these ads "politically correct"? What a stupid thing to say. Are you bothered that they show minorities or something? What a pile of politically correct garbage these ads are.
Actually, it's about ethics in digital timekeeping. What a pile of politically correct garbage these ads are.
Things also lost the last piece of seriousness with "Looks like something from a Happy Meal"...I know people like you. I avoid them when possible
Seriously, I love my watch. I wear it all day every day. I find it very useful especially because I do not have to pull the phone out of my pocket all the time. Clearly you haven't tried it. And I think it is way better looking than pebble or android wear stuff.
O RLY? A brand new iPhone SE = $399. And you may find your lost phone for $0, if you start looking.I think it's worth to pay $300 just for the lost iPhone feature.
Is that what you'd do?It turns people into robots. So dumb.
Rain incoming in 5 minutes. Open your umbrella and wait.
