Many of us keep refreshing these pages, hoping for an announcement about an Apple event re: iPads, MacBooks, etc. I’m really tired of all this Mickey Mouse stuff.

Would you imagine Steve Jobs on stage telling "one more thing" and showing this? This single question shows what's the current Apple situation.

Hm, under Steve we hat Flower Power and Dalmatian Blue iMacs.

And all the colors. The original background story for the iMac was something along „Fitting into the Jetsons‘ home“.

Ah, and one more thing: Pixar.

Steve might not have been the boring commander you‘re picturing.

Where's the matching iPhone case? Then the Apple Watch face, iPhone and wallpaper and Headphones can match.
[doublepost=1539739508][/doublepost]This is also available in the low cost $99 stickers kit.

Is this something an adult would really rock in public? Just curious....non judgement.

I'd wager MANY adults would....and those that would probably don't care what others would think. There are plenty of unique personal styles out there. There were a a few threads in the Apple Watch section a while ago asking if a male would wear a pink band. What's strange or odd to one person may be completely normal to others....

People rock what they want.....And in urban areas, I've seen some styles that the mainstream might question but most are comfortable in their own skin & own their style.

I'd have no problem wearing these in public. There's no way I'm paying for them, but I also wouldn't be self conscious about wearing them in public.

These are equivalent to PS4 or Xbox special edition consoles.

Second, you'll have collectors picking these up. As another poster stated, Disney is going big with this Mickey 90th.
There are multiple companies that have Mickey themed limited editions planned. From food based (Ice Cream Brands, Oreos, Goldfish, cereals to clothing retailers. There's a new art exhibit in NYC & major train stations in France are going to be overplayed in art. There's a touring show happening in Japan, etc. These are just the things I found by googling.

Obviously, the average person probably isn't going to be in the market for these anyway....

Can it be that nobody involved in marketing this knows that "Mickey Mouse," as slang, also means "trashy, poorly-done, half-assed, ridiculously simple. . .?"

Well, at least in my day it did.

So fitting, given the beats brand :p

Why is the trackpad on the Macbook Pro's so silky smooth when scrolling, yet Windows OEM's can't make a trackpad half as good as the MBP's trackpad, scrolling-wise? I just don't understand it. What is the secret sauce that makes the MBP trackpad so special?

Because Apple has complete vertical integration. Apple controls the operating system, the driver, and the hardware.

If you have a Windows 10 laptop with high end trackpad hardware (usually glass/metal), then you might be able to get a similar experience by switching to Microsoft Precision Trackpad drivers.

However, a much better question would be... what does this have to do with Mickey Mouse Beats Headphones?

These are for kids... I mean all the kids I know are rocking 329.99 dollar wireless headphones lol

Yes, to go with their $1,000 phones...

they're only doing it for the 90th Anniversary, a lot of companys are actually doing this to celebrate mickeys birthday next month

Nice to see somebody that actually gets it.

Yep. With all of the questionable moves, crazy pricing, and getting political....my 2016 MacBook Pro will probably be my last laptop from Apple.

I would agree, except now I have a 2017 because the keyboard, screen, and logic board all went on the 2016 (each repair like a month apart) and I demanded a new computer. Oh and the logic board and SSD just went on the 2017 also during installation of Mojave. So now I will say the 2017 Macbook pro will be my last apple laptop

This is absolutely disgusting. At these prices this is clearly aimed at adults. Man children. We should not encourage grown adults to continue to have some sort of youthfulness in their hearts. It's as disgusting as grown men wetting themselves over the Batman films or Marvel films. This is toxic for adulthood. I know my sister-in-law is gonna be giddy over these ridiculous things because her husband is a Disney fan, but, really, at 36, he needs to grow up and be a man like me.

I’m not sure if you win the internet today for sarcasm or are actually slightly unhinged.

Hysterical.

I remember when Steve Jobs said to ESPN president George Bodenheimer about their ESPN branded Samsung phone:

"Your phone is the dumbest ****ing idea I have ever heard".

these will sell like hotcakes in Japan.

anyone saying the design is bad/image is badly placed doesn't understand current design trends and is most likely outside the target demographic for this anyway.
