Don’t have anything against the idea of doing this cross branding, I like Mickey actually. But this “design” seems very lazy. Looks like someone just slapped the Mickey drawing and hit copy/paste all over the headphones without much thought. It’s like they didn’t even try to make it special.

Hmmmn, well, their goal is to make as much money as possible and maximise shareholder returns, so in THAT sense, yes they SHOULD make garbage like this.

I understand how that works, I just don't think it is congruent with Tim Cook's frequent grandstanding. It is this aspect of Tim Cook's Apple that I really dislike - where he will be dishonest like a politician saying things that people want to hear but on the other hand turn right around and implement decisions that are bad for the customers or the planet, And then proclaim "hey look we're really green" because we give some minuscule proportion to combat climate change.

I run my own company so I am well aware of how capitalism works, but it is a myth to believe that maximizing shareholder value requires you to do everything that and anything that can make money.

I gonna buy this 4 my female. She loves mickey mouse and i would pay whatever they ask cause Beats is top notch quality period. I prefer goofy anyway

I hate what macrumors forums have become...the negative comments, the negative attitudes...
The reason is not in the forums. The forums just reflect the new Apple’s negative attitude to computers. Of course you’ll find negative comments from computer fans if your goal is that computers shouldn’t exist and there should be services in dumb devices instead of true computers.

Mickey Mouse headphones from what is now a Mickey Mouse company. You could not make it up! When I hear TC wail at missing SJ, I want to hit him. There is no comparison between the two.
The popularist acquisition of Beats over Bose or Sonos was another mind boggling example of dumbing down by Apple.
Airpods excepted, most Apple products suffer from frustrating usabily issues, from the painful MacBook keyboards, to the lack of iPhone USB-C, to non tactile TouchBar to inconsistent iOS UX across devices to slow charging of all devices to inability to configure the Apple Watch or iPhone for one touch Quick Dialing to help the elderly. Etc.
And then there are the missing in demand products others have mentioned in this comment section.
Apple need an ex engineer product guy as CEO.

Not my thing, but must be a market. Heck....spending $330 for any headphones would not be my thing either, but their is a market there as well.
Yeah, there certainly is a market for $330 headphones. However, Beats headphones are absolute towering *****, so if you spend that much on them, you’re only playing for the brand. Other headphones in the same price range totally blow them away in terms of quality.

Kinda sums up Apple at the moment :p

I was just on the bus thinking "man those Beats headphones look dumb, they need to redesign them", and we get this. Such courage and innovation.

You’ve never been to Disney world or Disneyland and seen adults without kids, dressed in Disney regalia, trading pins, etc.?

This plays to the Asian market, when I was in Japan, Disneyland was huge with young females. This will be a major hit in Asia .

All these collaboration with Disney, yet Disney still refuses to give us 4K movies on Apple TV. :(

Apple or Disney don’t give anything away for free.

You really don’t need to bother with buying something you don’t want. But when Apple updates the iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro, will you promise to buy one?

Does Apple really not care? All this wireless radiation next to young children’s heads?
And in a few years they will spend billions on lawyers because of the lawsuits which will follow

All these bad jokes are coming from this so called "Instagram generation", where people just want to get likes for their posts.
Your right. I dislike this too. I’d give you a thump up but quoting for truth is the appropriate way to go I think!
