Guys, i think my 7 Plus may be defective

I am unable to hear the stereo speakers from the distance this guy was able to and with such clarity too.

Should I exchange?
Did you have the phone in a small puddle of water? If you didn't please try that and report back.

Jesus christ, stereo speakers are not "practically magic".
Didn't you hear that Apple invented stereo speakers? They're going to start suing all those manufacturers from the last hundred years for patent infringement.

What I still dont understand.
I had Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and I took underwater pics with it 2 years long.
It had IP58 and I had no problems at all.

iPhone 7 has IP67, isnt that much better?
And we are not allowed to take underwater pics with it?
WHY?

Wait, there are no black funky people in this ad? Is this for real? Someday they will even make an ad which shows people like the AAPL board. I mean, middle age white chaps. Even if you don't believe it, there is also white middle age people who buy iPhones (don't tell anybody)

To beat a dead horse:

Absolutely ridiculous that this is their ad when water damage is not covered under the manufacture warranty. They must enjoy class action.

unrelated. This ad sounded really nice on the new Mac Pro speakers :)

I'm amazed they didn't shoe-horn the Apple Watch 2 into that ad aswell.

Well, not all watch bands are "appropriate" for water use and you have to physically flush out the water yourself, "When you're done, turn the Digital Crown to unlock the screen and clear any water from your Apple Watch. You hear sounds and may feel some water on your wrist." - as it says on https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205000

I would like my smart watch to do that for me; and I think the Watch Series 1 isn't water resistant only the series 2

These were all shot with an Xperia Z3. The phone is still fine and alive today.

I wouldn't do the same with my iPhone 7 Plus, not even on water surface.
I have problem in trusting Apple's quality control.

May favorite is the "Practically Magic" line at the end of the video. Take that other cell phone makers! Stereo Speakers! Another Apple first! Oh.. wait. What's magical about this?

Since when are stereo speakers practically magic? LOL, is Apple trying to get credit for inventing this too? LOL, what a ridiculous company.
STEREO SPEAKERS HAVE BEEN ON ANDROID DEVICES FOR YEARS, APPLE.

Didn't you hear that Apple invented stereo speakers? They're going to start suing all those manufacturers from the last hundred years for patent infringement.
Its a good ad but apple really is insulting our intelligence. Practically magical? How long have stereo speakers on phones been available? I hate when apple acts like they did everything first or invented it.
Was something stated (or really even implied) about inventing or doing anything first?

It IS magical. In that the best magicians use misdirection to distract people from what is going on right in front of their eyes.
There's nothing new or different happening here and the phone boasts nothing worth paying a premium over its competitors. Admittedly.
However nobody can hold a candle to Apple when it comes to repackaging the same stuff from last year and selling it as new. It's a commendable achievement for a formula that still works to this day! :apple:

God I thought that guy diving was going to belly flop a 10meter platform.

Get your terms right.

It's "illusion". Not magic.

Exactly. And because they don't cover it under warranty they should stop advertising it as water resistant.

Can you imagine what would happen if Apple warrantied water damage? People would go snorkeling with their phones. I probably would.

iPhone 7s are absolutely NOT IP67. Used mine in the shower for music (not directly in water stream) where it got an occasional splash once in awhile and had TWO fail within a week. Both times the haptic/vibration cut out. Got them replaced easily since they fell under the DOA policy but learned not to trust Apple's BS on this issue.
It's very simple; if they are so water resistant and Apple is clearly promoting them as such, then why isn't water damage covered?

Pathetic.
