The posts in this thread are just ridiculous.

Obviously they are manufacturing/quality control issues which are the only reason Apple ever delays a product until the yields are acceptable.

I guess I'll believe it when their website reflects it.

Does suck though if they truly are delayed.

Shockers. Another botched product release by the supposed maestro of supply chain management, TC.

Um... are you capable of posting something in the forums that isn't sarcastic, bitter, or negative? I'm sorry that a slight delay of Bluetooth earbuds affects you so profoundly, but I guarantee you'll be alright. Promise.

Is this the first time Apple has delayed a product after they gave a release window? I can't think of anything else that's been delayed apart from maybe a software feature or two.
Well it was a similar situation in the past with iMacs and the new Mac Pro, only at that time they specified a very vague "late 2013" timeframe, and no one knew when you could preorder them. When you finally could, some very few customers got their machine between Christmas and nye, but I got mine in February for example..

The delay is pretty annoying I'll admit that. The EarPods keep falling out of my ears every 10 seconds and my sennheisers with Adapter just are a stupid with the dongle on the already gigantic iPhone 7+.

Though what bothers me the most is that this most likely will mean a delay for the beats power X. Those were the ones I have my eyes on, and I assume this delay has something to do with the W1 chip. Everything else in there should be pretty much something that can be found already in different products, so it wouldn't call for such a delay.

Apple probably don't want these AirPods exploding in your ear. More testing needed to keep this product safe to the public. Patience people!

The airpods themselves are very angry about this.

Even after having over 5 B/T earphones I was really looking forward to getting one this week :(

Oh man, BUT I NEEDED THEM.
Me too. I've been checking the apple store for them every day. They are perfect for the way I listen to podcasts and music during my commute and while at work.

Excuse me while I jump off a building because I'm devastated by the delay.

"AirPods are Apple's premium headphone solution for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus"

Maybe premium in price and in wireless connectivity, but certainly not premium in sound quality.
I assume this is based on your extensive experience listening to them...
[doublepost=1477536641][/doublepost]Tim Cook : Bob, Did you find a battery supplier?
Bob: yes, we'll be ready to ship at the end of October.
Tim Cook: Where did you find the supplier?
Bob: Some small shop in Korea. They were highly recommended.
Tim Cook: recommended by whom?
Bob: Samsung. why?
Tim Cook: Delay the launch. We need a new supplier!

The Emperor (Sir Jony Ive) is wearing no clothes. I have never been able to keep Apple EarPods to stay in my ear for more than 5 seconds before they "roll out" and onto the floor.

I highly recommend you make sure your $29 pair of wired Apple EarPods don't fallout (over and over) before you spend $159 on "AirPods" (essentially the same product with the same problem). Believe me.. I have bought many expensive wired ear buds that don't fit, sound bad, or are painful. It CAN happen to you.

Buy your damned AirPods at an Apple retail store on a day when they aren't too busy. Buy them with at least 90 minutes left before the store closes. Walk down to Starbucks. Try them. (Don't let them fall into your latté because they will fall out). Then walk back and return them and go home -- having satisfied your curiosity.

Actually, save yourself some time. Before checking out with your AirPods, try the incredible Bowers & Wilkins P5 wireless headphones. They are soft and fit over your ears to isolate you from the noise of the other idiots picking up and reinserting their Ive pods all day long. Try the wired P5's at the Apple store, go home with the Wireless model. You bought a $940 iPhone 7 plus right? Indulge in the $299 wireless P5.
