Maybe it has something to do with the fact that people think that they are ugly. Competitors wireless earphones aren't nearly as goofy looking.

It's Apple's fashion concept.

It doesn't matter if it looks good as long as it looks distinct and everyone knows it's Apple. That's been the philosophy of all the big fashion brands for decades.

The new Airpods are almost certainly coming. :)

I'm thinking this is the issue. The iPhone 7/7+ are having fairly significant Bluetooth pairing and connection issues at the moment for many users. iOS 10.1 was supposed to fix it, but there are plenty of posts from users on various forums that it has not. Apple doesn't want to ship a product that won't pair properly with their flagship phones resulting in a large amount of returns of Airpods that are fine, but appear not to work because of a Bluetooth driver issue with their phones. I'm betting we see a iOS update that fixes Bluetooth before they release the Airpods for sale.
I think you could be right with this, I own 2 sets of bluetooth earbuds (Soundpeats Qy7 and Callmate SH09) both are very cheap to buy but they both connected to my iPhone 6s Plus and never faulted, I now have the 7s Plus and both of the earbuds drop from the bluetooth connection, I'm forever reconnecting them, so you may have something here.

I'm glad you're utilizing your time wisely, commenting on threads that literally don't concern you whatsoever. #winning

Apple concerns me, as a fan, and as a shareholder. And, yes it is wise for one to keep up with companies in ones portfolio.

But you are the one reading posts (mine) that seem to irritate you. If you don't like my posts why don't you just skip past them?

Also again -- who is being bitter and negative again. Ha. Ha. Really, you should do a google search and learn about the pot and the kettle.

It seems you're annoyed at my negative responses to your posts. Funny.

Annoyed? No. Puzzled why you want to troll me even after I explained why I post as I do, yes. But, let's do this. Consider your mission accomplised and move on.

The inability to adjust the volume with a built-in remote, available for the EarPods, it's the worst thing about these headphones. I always do that with the EarPods, and I never use Siri for anything. It won't do me any good, because I fine-tune with my fingers while pressing the buttons, and I pause it/resume playback that way, now I can't do that with a more expensive and Bluetooth headphone?

Why they don't create a wireless control that works the same way?

No more 'Late October' release on Apple's site.. Looks like its as official as it gets for being delayed.

Did they even mention the airpods?

Nope, lame if you ask me but to be honest the Airpods are so inconsequential since they are a small ticket item compared to MacBooks so why should Apple even bother. Except you would think they owe customers an explanation but like I said ...

While true, they are the only Apple product that natively offers cross compatibility between an iPhone 7 and a MacBook with the W1 chip for ease of use, making pairing unnecessary. That's at least as impressive and useful as Touch ID and the TouchBar. So I completely disagree. Apple would have totally demonstrated the ease of use of using the AirPods had they been released today as likely planned.

When you consider there is no way to use Lightning headphones on a new MacBook, and aside from the $300 Beats Solo3, no way to get seamless wireless headphone integration between Apple products, and resulting in using an adapter for the same old headphones used on a MacBook to gain compatibility with an iPhone 7, it becomes clear how important the AirPods are across Apple's product lineup, especially the MacBook.

But they will sell a lot more small ticket Airpods than they do MacBooks, so it is not inconceivable that the Airpods could actually net them as much or more profit.

This is the most obtuse and ignorant statement in the 13 pages of this thread I have read. You literally know nothing and it blatantly shows in your post.

clearly you are a troll so keep licking Tm Crook's boots and may be one day he'll take a selfie with you - you deserve each other

So everyone is aware on here. This is what @amegicfox stated below:

"Tim Crook is reckless no desktops, delays - when does this guy work ?"

So, Again I say to you....this is the most obtuse and ignorant post in the 18 pages (Edited to 18 pages from 13 pages) on this thread. You literally know nothing and it shows in your post.

And you need to reference what "Trolling" means. You sorely misused the term. Try harder next time.

Edit: Judging by your previous posts, if you are seeking the definition for "Trolling", it's very evident on how you spread your Apple hate. Just for reference to the other forum members reading this.

Understood but like I said Apple obviously considers the Airpods small potatoes.

The Airpods may be a "small ticket" item, but are also most likely a high margin item. When you take the revenue from a single sale against the manufacturing, shipping, marketing and any other allocated costs for these, the net may be equal to selling a new iPhone.

I doubt that Apple has less interest in this product and that is partly the cause of this delay. In fact, I would probably lean toward Apple making sure that their "iconic" headphone image is not tainted by a rushed release.

Think about all of the people that you see wearing Apple's white Earpods on a daily basis. Imagine the profit if there was even a 20% conversion rate to Airpods. Those are not small potatoes.

Market Analysis shows a projected revenue of $3B for Airpods
