Not relevant, fact is you have freedom of speech in Europe, glad the judge denied Apple's request.
Except for the defacing of the store front - I agree. The problem is the US tax laws that allow profits to be shifted through accounting techniques to low tax counties. The solution is to tax global profits prorata based on domestic sales.

Paint which can easily be removed by washing the windows is not "vandalising".

Erm, no.

It is vandalism. Let me go paint all over your car windows and your house windows and see how you like it. Even if it can be washed off easily it is still vandalism. You shouldn't touch or deface anything that does not belong to you. If you paint on my windows you will be sued I can assure you that I will win as well. :)

There is a fine line between public protest and blackmail (even if the 'blackmailer' doesn't directly benefit from the blackmail). In regard to public transport strikes, France, eg, has introduced the requirement to maintain a minimum service. There is a line with this issue as well, though I don't really know where exactly it should be. For example, there could be a line between painting windows and a chalk painting on the street in front of your business.

Have those people got nothing else better to do the judge should of granted Apple’s request they have no right going into Apple’s stores and disrupting business! Pathetic if you ask me.

Tim is very liberal when it comes to social freedoms but extremely right wing when it comes to protecting his money. Its nice to have it both ways, huh Tim?

Why does everything have to be black and white? There are plenty of things I'm liberal about and just as much that I'm conservative about. I've very conservative about fiscal responsibility and guns, but liberal about peoples rights (marriage should be up to individuals getting married, not the government).

The photograph shows clear evidence of vandalism. Painted over display windows and painted message on the front doors. That is vandalism.

It's not Tim that avoids taxes. It is their accounting firm. The board of directors (not Tim) just voted recently to renew the accounting firm contract.

Where is the image of Al Gore?

It is vandalizing. It would be vandalizing if it was done to you. It would be vandalizing if it was done to me. Just because it's "easily" cleaned up, doesn't meant the time that's taken to clean it up isn't valuable. Someone has to spend hours of their life cleaning up someone else's mess. And it keeps customers away, interfering with their business, which also has a cost associated with it.

It's simple. This is wrong.

How exactly is it "right wing" to protect your money? I work hard for mine, and will do everything I legally can to protect it. Does that make me right wing? If Apple is paying the taxes they are legally obligated to pay, and you don't like it, then lobby to have the law changed.

Good I’m glad they can protest outside the stores, serves Apple right, pay your taxes and you won’t be targeted.. fairly simple really.
I’m sure the brigade will come along pronouncing how Apple should not pay taxes as it’s duty is to the share holders first, not the infrastructure it uses... nah just let everyone else pay for that!
Don’t forget people, everything Apple does is for the customer and NOT the share holders or profits as proclaimed by Cook this week....:rolleyes:

If someone came to your house and painted all your windows with washable paint what you say? No biggie, and then grab the bucket and happily clean up?
Ah, I had no idea that employees lived in the stores now.

The thing about comparisons is that they have to, you know, be comparable.

I won’t weep over one of the largest tax cheats on the planet being slightly inconvenienced.

Fine. How about I come to your house and vandalise all your doors, windows and walls with graffitis writing Buch of true and non true stuff about you? And also harassing your guests as well? How about that European freedom? Bet you would not like it, would you?

Apple. Just pull of of France. Believe me, you would even notice.
