Software bugs will always happen. You should probably get used to it. What's important is that the people who release the software react quickly and fix the issue, which they did in about a day or so. Move on.
because we all miss the reliability of iOS on first days. I do love Craig a lot because he's bringing new design and new interesting features every year, but the fact that iOS is becoming more buggy every year is making me sick. There was a lot of hate for Scott when he left yet now most of the criticism seems to be going the other way. Is this selective memory or has opinion really changed that much, and if so why?
root escalation with no password should NEVER happen. That's not just any bug.
I doubt you're a software developer. If you think this is ok, your code would be horrendous.
I honestly wish thatand for Christmas: "Scott Forstall Retaking Direct Control of iOS and macOS Software Teams"
Because then I need a cable and a power source. With the current implementation, I can charge my pencil anywhere I am, so long as I have my iPad with me (and I should, if I need to use the pencil). No need for lightning cables or power banks. Just plug in the pencil into the iPad for a few minutes and I am good to go. As far as integrated solutions go, you don't get any more streamlined than this.So why not charge it the with the cable, as in reversing the plug in the pen - but that would make the lightning cable useful without a dongle, and Apple kinda loves dongles you know.
And can continued to be made on emoji machines. People can still code on a MacBook Pro or iMac or even the upcoming iMac pro.The only problem is that all those wonderful apps on the emoji-machines are made on those "little money to be made machines" in that "niche market".
Good lord no. Unless you think he can single-handedly run both divisions by himself, because him returning is going to result in a mass defection of epic proportions.and for Christmas: "Scott Forstall Retaking Direct Control of iOS and macOS Software Teams"
What are you talking about, iOS's UI core is skeuomorphic, frosted glass translucency all over the place. Starting with iOS7, look at this madness.
Finally, he can’t stand for Tim Cook is destroying Apple
First thing after returning to take full control : Get rid of the notch.
Bring back this guy (AKA mini-Steve Jobs)..
Story about the birth of the iPhone
Oh wait, emo Jony hates that guy.

Scott was incredibly close to Steve, according to Andy Miller, who was in charge of Apple’s iAd project before leaving the company this summer. “When he says stuff, people listen,” Miller said. And in many ways, Scott was just like him, too.
He’s a hard-driving manager who obsesses over every detail. He has Jobs’s knack for translating technical, feature-set jargon into plain English. He’s known to have a taste for the Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, in silver, the same car Jobs drove, and even has a signature on-stage costume: black shoes, jeans, and a black zippered sweater.
Forstall is like Steve in one other important way: He can be, in what some of his co-workers might call an understatement, a polarizing figure. He’s won the intense loyalty and allegiance of many of his underlings, and his engineers are among the hardest workers at the company. At the same time, according to several former Apple employees, a number of high-ranking executives have left the company because they found working with Forstall so difficult.
Scott’s only 42, which makes him the youngest member of the executive team, but he certainly isn’t pushed around. In fact, he has a “fraught relationship” with a number of other executives, including Apple’s lead designer, Jony Ive, and Mac hardware chief Bob Mansfield. The pair reportedly avoid meetings with Scott unless Tim Cook is present.
Forstall’s most recent triumphs are likely bittersweet. Over the last few years he watched as his biggest champion and mentor slowly lost an agonizing personal battle, all while products running his software have helped make Apple the most valuable company in the world. Apple has sold more than a quarter billion devices running Forstall’s iOS.
Apple needs deliberation. The birth of iPhone was a battle from two teams.
^ Love that TFF song.
Steve and Scott do share another thing in common. They both got fired at Apple. I hope Scott returns to rescue them but that's just a pipedream for the father of iOS.
Ive's best days are behind him. It's like trying to get Kobe Bryant back from basketball retirement.
I'm no longer confident with his input after iOS7. His best years were under Jobs from 1997-2011.
