Blu-Ray is not mainstream enough for apple to invest in yet. People still prefer DVD'.
It's more than that. It's the baggage that comes with the Blu-ray license; HDCP in particular. Some think Apple also considers it a competition to the iTS; however, since you cannot buy HD movies from Apple I suspect it's not.
personally i think the MB looks like sh*t but i think the Pro looks really good
I think the MB should have stayed plastic or gone for the Air look without the black glass bezel.
Now my Air looks cheep where in reality it is a "Pro" product (ie: lighted keyboard, aluminum, big trackpad, price)

uum you're not making any sense. The MB and MBP are identical except for the screen size and speakers.
I love how the speakers look and the size of the Pro but i just dont like the Glass on the MB

cheap??! are you for real? the Air is one of Apple's best looking designs, and it does not give off the slightest hint of cheap to me. And FYI: the MB and MBP design wise are identical except for the speaker grills, and larger screen. They both have glass.

yes i think the fact there is no black bezel makes it look cheep look on the apple store where they are next to each other it looks funny
If we want to accept the black keyboard and black screen, I think the Apple logo should have been black as well. That is a direct design-contradiction when you're using repeated colors, to have the logo in another color than the other two primaries. Which is alluminum and black.
Apple's hardware designs of the past are more visually appealing than those that are currently on sale. That is what the topic is about, and if you don't want to discuss it, then don't bother. Please don't tell people that what they are discussing is "silly" because it is perfectly valid.

I dont think Im acting like an jerk.....I just dont see it at all, and I dont think this is an opinion. Apple's designs were hideous, and thats part of the reason nobody wanted their computers in the past. The only design i would agree with is the all aluminum macbook pro vs the new one. I think the new design is fantastic on the small scale 13 inch, but it looks odd on the 15. (That is my opinion

You do understand the last gen Macbook Pro and Macbook sold a ton. It was Apples best selling computers of all time. Not bad for a hideous design huh?

You cant say those didnt cause people to just impulse buy macs, because they did. Now that those products have saturated the market, we'll see how the new macs do. I'm pretty sure the aluminum iMac is on pace to outsell the plastic white one

Honestly.....I think my statements are just as valid as the other regarding "old designs being better" .....I forgot to put the cube vs mac mini in there, and the G4 tower vs the current mac pro
