Gary? Gary Coleman?

Ok you prefer ugly things and you don’t know how to party, we know that now.Ugg, that probably means no space grey pro desktops with black bezels in the future? I prefer space grey over silver. I don't want a party decoration as my work machine....
I've just bought a second space grey keyboard (and SG Magic Trackpad 2), so that I don't have to carry mine with my laptop when I go from my home office setup to another one I use elsewhere. I'm kinda tempted to buy a handful now and flog them on eBay when they're all gone lol. I hope not though, and that Apple see sense as they are definitely the best looking accessories for Apple products.
Following the discontinuation of the iMac Pro, Apple also appears to be discontinuing Space Gray "Magic" accessories that it sold separately alongside the iMac Pro. The iMac Pro was the only Space Gray Mac, and Apple designed special matching accessories for it.

The Space Gray Magic Mouse 2, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad all now say "While supplies last" in small wording at the bottom of each product listing, which means that these accessories will be available for a limited time.

When existing supplies of the Space Gray Magic Mouse 2, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad are exhausted, Apple will only have these accessories available in a silver color option.

Following the 2017 release of the iMac Pro, Apple began offering standalone versions of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 for customers who purchased the iMac Pro and wanted matching accessory options. Now that there is no longer a Space Gray iMac Pro available, Apple apparently does not plan to continue making the Space Gray peripherals.

The new M1 iMac comes in seven different colors, complete with matching trackpads, mice, and keyboards, and right now, those accessories are only available when purchasing one of the new iMacs. It is not known if Apple eventually plans to sell the colorful Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboards on a standalone basis, but it's a future possibility. The iMac Pro accessories did not become available for purchase separately until several months after that machine was released, so we could see colored accessory options in the coming months.

That Apple had the audacity to charge $1,000 for some stupid wheels reminds of that lame scam $1,000 app on the App Store’s oldest days called “I’m Rich” that was nothing but a picture of a red gem that twinkled. That's because you didn't get it with the wheels.

You're very welcome. I aim to please. Interesting how what I said upset you. 😂Thanks for that fascinating lecture.![]()
I'm typing on one, and it's a replacement for the original I trashed that came with Mac Pro. Can you not just buy these like the iMac Pro accessories being discontinued? I did, you just call customer support and tell them you want to buy a replacement keyboard in silver with black keys. Can this only be ordered by people who purchased a 2019 Mac Pro? IDK, I thought you could just special order them. I don't honestly remember whether or not I gave them a serial # or just said I had a Mac Pro and needed a replacement keyboard. Replacement shipped from Austin, TX, same as MP did.
It cost the same as regular keyboard(s), they did not add a $999 surcharge to base price for Mac Pro color scheme

I rib Apple critics often enough for just having sensory or logic freakouts. But, do keep in mind that Apple is the same "trillion dollar" company that introduced the 2013 Mac Pro.I just love posts like this calling a multi-trillion dollar corporation stupid. Apple knows how to run their business a whole lot better than people posting on forums.
@Maconplasma See this is the kind of sensor freakout thing I'm talking about. They are stupid. many users spent their money buying iPhone, iPad, Watch, MacBook and a series of accessories in space gray. it was the hottest color to get. Now out of the blue they decided to discontinue it? that’s stupid, as they are pissing the very people who buy their products.
Is Apple going to offer a trade up program to switch to their new colors? Most likely not. So they are stupid!
That's a bummer. I really love my SG keyboard and trackpad. I guess too this bodes ill for a possible SG 30-32" iMac, Pro or otherwise.
The way some people are carrying on, it's as if Apple had said "not only are we no longer selling these, effective immediately, we'll be visiting each and every customer world-wide who has them already, and destroying them in front of the customer, while rubbing our hands together and cackling".What's interesting (yet comical) is these accessories are still available to buy on the Apple website yet this forum is throwing a fit as if they can't buy them. Nothing is stopping anyone from buying these accessories right now. People just want to waste air complaining about something when they really don't have a reason to. If you want the accessories then buy them now. Simple as that. Or do people just enjoy arguing for nothing. 😂
The iMac Pro was discontinued. They were only making these along with that Mac, and sold some separately because they probably produced more than they needed in case people needed to replace a damaged keyboard or mouse.
The new iMacs include a keyboard with Touch ID. It doesn’t take Nostradamus to figure out that Apple’s future keyboards will also include this. The existing keyboards were just clearing out old inventory.
And what makes you think they will not be updated? One might recall that the 21.5” iMac was discontinued. Was anybody truly shocked when the new Apple-silicon iMac showed up?Please read again. I said they could be updated. I hope it doesn’t take Nostradamus to figure this out either. As it stands, now there isn’t a space grey colour to purchase that (I think) people loved and bought even if they didn’t own the Pro version of iMac.
Maybe they'll rework the charging method so you can use the Magic Mouse while it's plugged in... A truly pro feature 😏I can understand your logic re the keyboard but why axe the mouse and trackpad as well? They won’t be affected by the new Touch ID keyboards.

I never understood why "space gray" was so popular. It is identical to TRS-80 gray. I really liked my TRS-80 Model III, but to me, TRS-80 gray still looks as tacky as it did 42 years ago.

Only because it's the closest Apple lets us get to black. There's a segment that really wants all of their Apple s**t in black (myself included).I never understood why "space gray" was so popular. People are simply saying they don't like the kiddy colors on the new iMacs and would prefer something more subtle and attractive. They're saying so while you and a few other people try to police them and tell them they're wrong for having their own aesthetic opinion. The way some people are carrying on, it's as if Apple had said "not only are we no longer selling these, effective immediately, we'll be visiting each and every customer world-wide who has them already, and destroying them in front of the customer, while rubbing our hands together and cackling".
