Remember this when Apple talks about environmentalism or saving lives. They're bankrolling a ballroom for the guy that hates renewable energy and foreigners.

Could be investing this in their products and services. Could be spending this on furthering their climate goals. Nah. Gotta suck up to the King of Clean Coal and Diet Coke.
There are citizens. There are foreigners. And then there are illegal invaders. 3 distinct groups. He doesn’t hate foreigners.

My red line is 1 day over his second term, or any of the extremely disturbing ideas you mentioned a US president doing.
I don’t think you get how the redline thing works.

I don't need to consider who is right or wrong. I'm not the US president and I'm not itching to have him removed or to stay longer.
So you criticized people without considering whether they are right or wrong? Strange.

It's been a request since Benjamin Harrison in 1892ish - and with the advent of modern air travel, the WH has been badly equipped for large state events. They do their best to decorate the pavilion tents but it's a bit...yeah. Long overdue.

Also worth remembering *many* of the changes to the White House over the years have been controversial. Hardly anyone brings up Truman ruining the design with the second floor balcony anymore but it caused a huge stir when it was first announced.
You expect people to know history?! 🤣. Seriously imagine coming to the White House from across the planet to have dinner in a giant tent outside. It’s pathetic when you think about it. Trump understands what projecting power looks like. Agree with him or not that is why everyone is flocking to him. Businesses want to get favors and world leaders respond to these kinds of things.

A bunch of unarmed people walked around the capital without hurting anyone?
Wrong.

  • Total injured: Most sources report around 140 officers from the U.S. Capitol Police and the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department suffered injuries. These ranged from bruises and cuts to more serious trauma, including head injuries and crushed spinal discs.

Documented weapons and attacks include:
  • Firearms: Federal prosecutors charged and convicted several rioters for carrying guns on Capitol grounds.
    • Guy Reffitt, the first person to stand trial for his role in the attack, carried a handgun and had an AR-15-style rifle in his hotel room.
    • Christopher Alberts was arrested with a loaded 9mm handgun and 25 rounds of ammunition.
    • Other armed individuals with firearms, including rifles, were also identified outside the Capitol.
  • Pipe Bombs: Two pipe bombs were discovered and disarmed near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee on January 6. The FBI has offered a reward for information on the individual who planted them.
  • Improvised Weapons: Rioters used a variety of improvised weapons to attack police officers.
    • Flagpoles: American flags and flagpoles were used as clubs and spears to strike officers.
    • Blunt objects: This included bats, hockey sticks, and even a fire extinguisher that was thrown at officers.
  • Chemical Irritants: Attackers used chemical sprays like pepper spray and bear spray against law enforcement.
  • Stun Guns and Knives: Authorities found other weapons, including stun guns, knives, axes, and brass knuckles.

You say American jobs but why was the entire East Wing torn down using a Volvo excavator? Their medium excavator manufacturing is mainly in Korea and Sweden. Their American manufacturing plant is not expected to produce until 2027 or later.

It was all privately funded so it’s not costing the tax payer a dime.
Nicely enough, the companies will probably be able to deduct the funding from their profits and hence reduce their taxes, so while it won't cost the tax payer a dime directly, it will result in (slightly) less tax income for the state.

You're claiming you didn't see any of the video of many of the "protesters" attacking officers many, many times, beating them, throwing fire extinguishers at them, yelling at each other "Kill him!", bringing zip ties onto the House floor to hogtie our Representatives and haul them away who knows where, smashing windows and doors, threatening to hang Mike Pence, etc. etc.?

There are citizens. There are foreigners. And then there are illegal invaders. 3 distinct groups. He doesn’t hate foreigners.
He did recently post a AI video depicting him dropping feces on peaceful protestors in a city that looks American. And he's quite hateful towards many legal immigrants and foreigners as well. His hate covers a wide diversity of people.

Why would I have an answer to that, like are you asking me, why?
I worked on construction projects in California/Nevada/Arizona. Couldn't tell you what and why the entire East Wing was torn down using a Volvo excavator. Seems very specific, sorry I wasn't involved in that project.

My red line is 1 day over his second term

I don't need to consider who is right or wrong.
When he and his followers, lawyers, etc. tried both force and the law to allow him to stay illegally after his first term was over, why wasn't that a red line for you? The fact that he and they failed doesn't absolve you of holding him to the red line that he shouldn't have tried.

I really don't know what to tell you. He'll be out after his second term is up. If he does something terrible possibly sooner. I don't know what you want me to do about it? I hope its a beautiful ballroom that future US Presidents use for whatever purpose they see fit.

Take my advice, don’t engage with the intellectually lazy.
