Talk about special interests! Never have I seen the amount of unchecked power this cat has as a President.

It’s wild. I’m a proud monarchist (if for no other reason than politicians are turds) and a citizen of two constitutional monarchies.
These no kings protests actually offend me a little as it implies whatever the hell is going on in Washington is somehow aligned with my belief system. Kings in 2025 do not have this insane amount of power outside the Middle East.
Have no tyrant protests but don’t bring me in to this 😂

Did any of you guys give a **** when Obama did the 300 million dollar renovation to the White House at the taxpayers expense? Or when the Clintons rented out the Lincoln bedroom to donors? Or when Bill got blowjobs and forced cigars up Lewinsky’s **** in the Oval Office?

Billionaires create jobs. What exactly do you do for anyone?

Not being a [edited: unpleasanT person] to stragers on the Internet for no reason.

To answer your question: for one thing I help out in a homeless shelter every winter on the weekends (doesn't open in summer) and publish rescue dogs for a rescue center online for them to find new homes during the week ✌🏼and I didn't write this on an Apple nor Microsoft device 🙂

No, the project you are referring to was passed by Congress and signed into law by Bush.

Yes. I did not vote for Clinton and supported his impeachment.

And the Kenyan still sucks in basketball! And can’t throw a baseball to save his life!

That certainly wasn’t your point, but you’ll continue to post the same misinformation anyway.
Yes it is. Read it again. Obamas renovation for a ****ing basketball court was paid for by us taxpayers. You just said Bush approved it. This Trump renovation is being paid for by PRIVATE DONORS. Take a seat. Maybe in the new spacious White House ball room in 2029.

I really don't know what to tell you. He'll be out after his second term is up. If he does something terrible possibly sooner. I don't know what you want me to do about it? I hope its a beautiful ballroom that future US Presidents use for whatever purpose they see fit.
Nobody is asking you to personally do something about Trump not wanting to leave office after his term is up, except to be intellectually honest and consistent about your red lines. It'll probably be a reasonably attractive ballroom (but probably gaudier and larger than it needs to be, and he demolished the East Wing after promising he wouldn't), but that's not the issue we were discussing. You said one of your only red lines for Trump is if he tries to stay in office after his second term is up, but if that were so, why not have a similar red line for his attempt to do that at the end of his first term? Why not just say he crossed your red line at that time?

The picture in your post is another lie. It’s from 1934 when the west wing was being constructed.

Obama had an outdoor tennis court converted to a basketball court. He basically added hoops and lines on the court. He paid for it privately.

Nope. Again, it had nothing to do with Obama or a basketball court. It was interior renovations focused on replacing outdated and failing systems, including security improvements.

The architecture of the building is revolting. If Jobs was alive and Ive still at Apple, they would have NEVER financed such a building, regardless of all other considerations. It is hideous. And Apple, of all companies, prides itself on design, has a campus designed by none other that Sir Norman Foster and gives money towards building a poor imitation of a building more suitable for a monarchy, out of line with the historical context and taste. In that rendering the only things missing are rows of slot machines, a couple of green tables and carpet floor.

By the way, from the looks of it between glas and hard floors, I bet the acoustics will be hideous (as well)

My mistake then. I stand corrected. My original post still applies. It’s being paid for by private donors and not taxpayers. Renovations and alterations have gone on at the White House for years and no one gave a **** until now. There’s other things more important.

Now that I understand that taxpayer dollars are not being used for this endeavour, I am fine with it, even though I am not American. I actually think this type of idea (getting companies to come up with the money to build something) is a good one and should be used in the future for other large projects.
So would you be okay with the Canadien prime minister deciding to destroy a major historical landmark without any approval from parliament?
