This is disgusting. Speaking as an Apple customer of over 40 years, a stockholder for most of that time, and a historian as well, Apple should not be supporting this act of cultural vandalism in any way, shape, or form. It is the worst decision I have ever seen this company make, bar none -- and I've witnessed a few doozies.
For those who do not understand the issues, which is probably everyone who supports this abomination, the White House is a listed National Historic Landmark. Not part of it, not the parts any given president decides are part of it -- all of it. And because the White House belongs to the American people, and not to any one person who occupies it for a term of office, a review process is required of all changes made. Until Trump, presidents honored this responsibility.
Further, why would any American even think the White House needs a massive ballroom? The Founders certainly would be appalled by the idea. American presidents have always lived in a residence, not a palace. Until now.
And one more item. Anyone who is riding the "look at all the money Obama spent" hobby horse is advised to get off it. This is basically a baldfaced lie. This was a properly reviewed infrastructure project funded by Congress during the Bush administration. It was to preserve the White House, not destroy it. It was everything the Trump vandalism is not.
