ok here's my guess... new ipods and new itunes update. I really hope they begin to separate out the itunes worlds... like keeping the app store and movies sepertate (for example when i'm looking for an app i dont want the search to search music and movies).

Maybe this will include an iphone and mac update which will stream all your music from your computer to your iphone (like Simplify Media)

i don't know if this has already been mentioned but the itunes cards they have out now have the same picture on it. i have one and it's the exact same thing. i can take a pic if you want proof.

i'm excited, i just want an HD iPod touch, atleast 80GB or more. I don't care how thick it is.

I fully agree with the HD iPod Touch :D
I am also 99.9% sure it won't happen, but I'd like to think so :)

I really dont think that they need to upgrade the storage space in the nanos, 8 gb, is more than enough for its purpose. Although we will probably see a 16gb. I think we will see other features, like a accelerometer so you can play the same games as the iphone, same with the touch.

Personally I don't think they would do this, as nice as suggestion it is.
I think if anything they will just drop the price points; although I agree a 16Gb model will probably be introduced.
I have always seen the games on the standard iPod as a bit more of a sideline addition, rather than something they would develop further.

I think Apple will also release 2.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch for background processes support.

I think we will see push notifications MAYBE. But certainly not background processes. Again, something I would love to see, but yet doubt.
This is where Apple's software actually falls short of Symbian.

Why wouldn't you increase the capacity, what is the 'purpose'? The purpose changes as capacity goes from 1GB to 4GB to possibly 16GB, the iPod Nano will be larger than most full-sized iPods ever released.

Memory is cheap, and I'm sure Apple would rather increase memory and keep the current Nano price points than keep memory at 4GB and 8GB but reduce prices. Same goes for the iPod Touch models.

As flash capacity increases, it is the Classic model that will eventually become obsolete.

I wonder why there aren't any rumours for the iPod Classic. I'm definitely buying one if a new one comes out, which it almost certainly will.

this sucks, how can they make the ipods even better then what we have now? we need new macbooks! i have a new nano and a new classic i dont want anymore ipods that are the same..

I think this will be the Lamest new update in awhile. Too much has been leaked already that Apple cannot WOW us with any surprises.

Lame as in... what?

They will probably revamp RAM mostly, and put Touch on lots of stuff, and expand out the touch line. And the Nano is a new design.

Who knows; the Nano leaks could be there to cover up the most amazing iPod Touch design - IT TOUCHES YOU. iPorn shop now open.

I wouldnt hold your breath with Classic updates, although I'd love to get a new one :)

I don't see why not. The Buyer's Guide hints at a new one for sure. But I guess you have a point. I have no idea what further improvements could be made currently. Maybe price drops if Kevin Rose knows anything.

iPod with HDMI

Lol.

Seriously, no MBPs till ****ing Oct? Are you serious? I hope there's a very, very good reason for this (CPU/GPU bump)

Humm... Dunno.

Sweet that Apple is releasing their new Ipod Updates, but we should be worried 'bout the "1 minute later you bought it" releases, those that update the already recently updated Ipod's, u'know.

According to "Mac Buyer's Guide", iTouch was (kind of) just released(2/2008), and there are already rumors 'bout a update.

The earlier we know when the cycle actualy starts (after all the mo' fo' updates) the better.

Guess me here in Brazil, 'll have to wait like 6 months after 4G Nano starts to "rock" on the streets. And get mugged.

I dont think notebooks will get their own event, they will prolly just release them with no event if they dont update them at the ipod event. i know for a big update its unlikely, but just the feeling Im getting.

To correct you, there really was only a memory bump up to 32 gigs from 16. That's all that was released.
