Come on, you guys have Apple Stores all over the US. For us brazilians to get an ipod here takes weeks and the price goes +140% due to import taxes. And then we get robbed some junkie.

To correct you, there really was only a memory bump up to 32 gigs from 16. That's all that was released.

Yes, they have been upgrading computers more often. As they should. But there are not significant enough upgrades available "every week" to make it worthwhile to update them. It costs insane amounts of money in R&D to upgrade computers and modify the design to match the new parts. It's much better that Apple concentrates on making stable computers than jump on each minor update that's available.
thats hilarious. my parents are both brazilian and i go there almost every year. I never bring anything valuable with me
I actually live here in Brazil.
Se você sabe do que eu estou falando, então por que é "hilário", playboy?
I hope that they eliminate all the plastic cases...no more cheap non-recycleable, cracking plastic products...
Anyway, does someone has any idea if that 4G nano is going to be definitive at least 'til next year (around 9/2009)?
dude, everybody here knows that. What I want to know is if this NEW NANO (the 4G eneration one) will last 'til 9/2009, without being updated til then. Why would they wait until next year when its an obvious iPod event next week?

I've been waiting since MAY (money in the checking account) for new MacBooks.
I'm thinking OK summer.
OK they are coming out Third Quarter July - Sept.
OK no July
OK no Aug.
Now I'm hearing Oct.
Come ON. I need it for work at a school. School started Aug. 25.
This is crazy! Way disappointed inif they don't release them next week
.
This is completely true.
Apple needs to get with it. Other brands have already released Monevina stuff. For a premium product with "the latest Intel processors", this is sure disappointing.
God I hope not. Linux is still not where it needs to be, and I really don't want to go back to MS based computing.
If this is the case, anyway to make my macbook and software last 20 years? Finally moved my entire platform (except what I need for my job) away from MS. Have all the Apps I need, just need a touch/tablet mac.

I think we will see push notifications MAYBE. But certainly not background processes. Again, something I would love to see, but yet doubt.
This is where Apple's software actually falls short of Symbian.
The "Let's Rock" tag line is a ruse to throw off the rumor mongers before the big surprise announcement. I have it on very good authority (I'm not at liberty to divulge who) that the "Let's Rock" does not refer to iPods, but rather to a new line of heavy and expensive, but ultra-stylish MacBooks with a sleek design. But the real innovation--the "rock" in "Let's Rock"--is that they will be available in your choice of granite or diamond-encrusted limestone shells. Remember, you heard it here first!![]()
just to add more to the confusion, why is this 2.8GHz 24" AluMac listed as Previous Generation?
