just a thought...

if the "one more thing" isn't the notebooks that we want really bad... whatever happened to the iPhone nano... i mean this is an iPod event and the iPhone is the best iPod apple has ever made right? There were always rumors of an iPhone nano and I remember the last one being made about it being ready for this holiday season. So, is this a possibility?

Looks like the Touch will finally have the volume toggle if those pictures are real.

The iPhone Nano is a terrible, terrible idea.

if you take a look invitation photo. dancer holds narrow longer nano. so it confirms that a shape of new nano is totally different.

Um... no it doesn't. Perhaps the iPod is at an angle, meaning it could easily be an iPod touch.

but we have never seen any AD which dancers play with ipod touch before if you know some AD. it's only for nano so far. I don't know whether you remember or not. when 5th Gen. ipod invitation photo was leak, it was exactly the same as it was after event. so it should be nano.

Try again.

iPhone Nano, please.

What would you expect such a phone to have? Whatever Apple would cut out of it people would complain it didn't have. Can you imagine typing on a smaller touchscreen? The iPhone is at a price point that there is no need for an iPhone nano.

you aren't thinking like apple... why does an iPhone nano have to be just an iPhone that is smaller and lacking features. The iPhone can just be simply a phone that is not in the smart phone category. I agree there really is no need for one... since the iPhone is the best phone on the market and I would never want to switch. But for some people who wants a nice, clean, futuristic, but very simple lamens phone that just makes calls, plays music, etc... but bears the apple logo... it would be perfect for them. I can totally see a very thin, clean, nano looking phone that makes calls, plays music, and has a screen just big enough to watch movies on... like our new nano that they are releasing. Sell it for 99$ and bam, you have all the non-smart phone junkies on the planet craving one.

damn...

I was going to buy an iMac with a free iPod touch (student promotion)....

If new products (ipod touch, imac) are release on September 9th, do you think they will be part of the student promotion (which ends on September 15th) ?

What about SMS? The only way that would work is if Apple finally made it so you could have a landscape QWERTY in the SMS app. If you expect people to buy a fairly expensive phone and not have SMS, it would be a disaster.

was just reading on the cult of mac blog, that Apple PR called one of there guys and said that this event was going to be "A Big Deal" and encouraged him to fly out to San Francisco from the East Coast.

hmmmm

Has to be more than just iPods

Agreed the new computer change would be the one more thing

However, that's the US!

In previous years, in the UK, the new ipods have been eligable for the student promotion so, yes, if we get the student promotion this year, the new ipods are likely to be included.

and I live in Canada.......so I have no idea what it will be !

DOH ! :)

EDIT : this PDF is for Canada (look at the CA in the URL)
:(

I mean, I hate to really even bring this into the picture. But it's been a long-ass while since the MAC PRO line has seen a refresh... the last update was to the Harpertown architecture, and that was almost a year ago, or February rather as I recall. THe update was to 8-Core 2.8GHz, 3.0GHz, and 3.2GHz Xeon machines. Newer processors (ahem, Nehalem / Core i7) have come along and it's time for a major update.

People think that Apple sells few, and people buy few of the Mac Pro lineup, and that the demand is low, and this is not one of their flagship products. Rather, begging to differ, I think this is their bread and butter with their pro lineup that can run Leopard and pro apps, they need to keep the lineup refreshed. It's been too long, it's time for an update. Note: We have brand new iMacs, and the Penryn MacBook Pros, but the Mac Pros haven't been updated in quite a while.

why do people want the iphone nano? They love the ipod nano so they want an iphone nano? it will cause WAY to much confusion. Unless the iphone nano does become the iphone and the iphone becomes the newton with a slightly larger screen...

If Apple did copy the ipod line up on the iphone then wheres the

iphone shuffle

iphone nano

iphone classic

iphone touch

Im not so sure about iphone Nano,

Take this quote for instance,
Luca Montezemelo (Head of Ferrari), "There will never be an entry level, or what you call a cheap Ferrari, cheap means less technology and that is not what we are about, pre-owned Ferrari's are our entry point."

Completely unrelated yet slightly relevant..

Just as an addition, the California costs more than an F430

Not at all relevant, seeing as most apple products are directed to the lowest common denominator, most apple products are crippled and have less tech than their competitors.

people want an iphone nano becuse there is an ipod nano. they think apple will copy the ipod line up. thats not the case..
