iTunes MS Rolled over today... so no new content through the Music Store. But another way? Perhaps.

Thats right, totaly agree. I cant seem to shake the feeling that we will see a new product from apple, that doesnt have to be a video ipod. My money is on a video/PDA iPod. you know i'm halfway thinking about going to the apple store around 1 pm here.. a bit before.. i wonder if anything cool is released it will be available.. i mean i want to go check out the MBP anyways.. but it would be nice to be able to actually get something new before it sells out in 20 mins in SOHO.

Wouldn't it be cool if the iPod Hifi was the Intel Mac Mini? So I guess it would have the appearance of an ordinary Mac Mini but with whatever the standard connections for speakers are nowadays, the now almost standard Apple remote control and perhaps the same screen as an iPod. The thing could be run in "Hifi mode", which would mean that the full OS wasn't loaded and due to the low processing requirements for such a setup the fans never came on or could be booted as a real Mac if a monitor is connected.
I guess the idea is unrealistic due to the cost versus a plain iPod Hifi, but I still think it'd be cool. I guess it'd be much like the rumoured iHome but without the formal requirement for a screen if all you want to do is listen to music.

The most likely products for release include an iPod Boombox and the Intel Mac mini.
Meanwhile, Intel iBooks and Touch Screen iPods are said to be coming soon, but not necessarily at the event.

The iTunes Music Store was updated this morning.
Typically Apple doesn't do this if their announcement has anything to do with the store. However, typically they hint at the products on their invitations too, so maybe they just smartened up.

In the Jobs keynote where he talked about dropping the Interim from his title. He says he liked iCEO because of the internet.
