Serious question…..you mean US leadership, right?I admire you trying, but it is nigh on impossible to educate the wilfully ignorant, particularly when their current leadership has no working relationship with knowledge, history or truth.

A back door is functionally indistinguishable from “no encryption”.This is wild. The government said give us a back door through the encryption and Apple said "not that but instead we'll just take away the encryption altogether". Wtf? A great precedent that shows Apple will fold if a government asks it to
Sort of. A back door is functional decryption available to select parties. No encryption is a free for all. The difference is the scope.A back door is functionally indistinguishable from “no encryption”.
I'm not entirely sure how you managed to read the article and get it backwards? This is wild. The government said give us a back door through the encryption and Apple said "not that but instead we'll just take away the encryption altogether". Wtf? A great precedent that shows Apple will fold if a government asks it to
EU? Per chance.Lol, I know a government that’s run by thugs and grifters and that’s not in the UK.
USA…not even per chance, but 100% certain.EU? Per chance.
There’s an expression: if the shoe fits wear it and to me the EU is wearing that shoe as well.USA…not even per chance, but 100% certain.
Getting off topic now, but I see you like expressions….There’s an expression: if the shoe fits wear it and to me the EU is wearing that shoe as well.
Ah yes:”Do as I say not as I do” is another good one.Getting off topic now, but I see you like expressions….
Here’s one from a rather popular
“Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
Yes, it is. You can LMAO all you want. You are probably one of those that were cheering the use of government to force a technology company to use a specific technology for no other reason than consumer convenience. Had nothing to do with safety or public good...you know, the only things the government should care about in regulation. It was "muh single charger".lmao what the EU is doing isn’t even similar to this. Try again
actually yes I am. Having type C, putting pressure on Apple to allow sideloading are GOOD things for the consumer. This however, is not.Yes, it is. You can LMAO all you want. You were warned not to confuse "oh that would be nice" with "yes it's appropriate to use government this way". You were warned that backing such a pointless overreach of power would inevitably lead to more of the same. And it will. And it is. The UK government in this instance is looking DIRECTLY at the E.U's "victories" over big bad Apple, and thinking they can get away with their own desires. That's what precedent is. That's what precedent does.
Literally everything you said is wrong.A

Apple needs and deserves to be taken down a peg
I normally wouldn’t bother, but recent discussions with people IRL has made me respond to those sort of statements now.I admire you trying, but it is nigh on impossible to educate the wilfully ignorant, particularly when their current leadership has no working relationship with knowledge, history or truth.
What do you want encryption to be taken away? You sure about that?Literally everything you said is wrong.
Yep, the whole free democratic world is wrong. I’ve great respect to the democratic free world and totally back them. Call me wrong, I don’t care ❤️🇨🇦🇪🇺There’s an expression: if the shoe fits wear it and to me the EU is wearing that shoe as well.
Apple stands for money grabbing these days. Their moral standpoints are just marketing points and lots of people believe it. Apple has proven this time and time again. Don’t believe me, I’ve lots of facts proving otherwise.Well…, is that so.
On this side of the pond maybe, but on their own side not so much, or For instance China.
Tim gave into renaming the gulf, gave 1 million to Orange boy, Is not really consumer friendly in the states and so on.
So let’s trot out those citations. Lots of people? Yeah on Macrumors.Apple stands for money grabbing these days. Their moral standpoints are just marketing points and lots of people believe it. Apple has proven this time and time again. Don’t believe me, I’ve lots of facts proving otherwise.
Lots of people in the real world and none in a parallel universe where some seems to live these days.So let’s trot out those citations. Lots of people? Yeah on Macrumors.
Lots of people. Okay that’s a solid, factual definition.Lots of people in the real world and none in a parallel universe where some seems to live these days.
No, the gaslighting country that is seeking trouble and chaos all around the world.EU? Per chance.
US does not have permanent allies but it has permanent interests.Sorry old chap but it’s not the UK that is cosying up to totalitarian Russia.
