Apple Finally Catches Up with iPad 2 Demand

It's more that Apple can, and does, suppress technology yet still break all records sales-wise. So, my point being that why release an updated one when your current product is still selling strong? The demand for iPad 3 (or Plus or HD - whatever you want to call it) will be the same if it's released in 2-3 months or released next April-ish. During that time iPad will still sell well and Apple has months left of profits on that model. Apple has built an empire based on suppression of technology.
I turn off flash on my MacBook. I turn off flash on my Linux machine. Don't want it on my iPad. Please don't act like you are talking for everyone.

I know about 20 persons that bought the iPad and used it everday for about two weeks. Now, they do not carry it anymore.
There is no point to a tablet, slate or whatever term you put on a device that is 10 inches and uses a phone OS.
Apple, Toshiba, all manufacturers, WAKE UP, this is STUPID! Make technology not another flash i the pants!

They would wake up if there was no consumer demand for such 'stupid' devices. But guess what, there is.

Never takes long for Godwin's Law does it? Buying an iPad is the same as gassing over a 10 million humans?
Are we moving into a post-MS era?

Having a common ancestor for the primitive kernel doesn't really mean much - the application APIs for these various phones are not compatible.
How does this have anything to do with MS not being relevant or competitive in this market?
Just wanted to thank you. I was ashamed that I had never heard of Godwin's Law, I thought it must have been a chapter introduced when I fell asleep during class. I had to google, that's awesome, I don't know how many times I've seen this play out during internet discussions. Heh.
Do you ever think that the psychological impact of authority, as shown in the Milgram experiment, that is represented by MS in relation to computing is a determining factor in the continuance of MS's dominant market share?
Do alternative OS users (Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, & etc) represent the individuals in society that wouldn't ignore their own morality under the coercion of authority?

This is probably a good indicator that Apple needs to excite demand for the iPad 2 again. A newer version of the iPad OS coming this fall should do it. A late fall or early winter iPad hardware refresh will set them over the top.

Now this one I know, that's an awesome experiment. I have a colleague that will mutter a phrase whenever we are sent to some lame, management training class that is detached from reality (some are ok). "Be a sheep, sometimes it's easier". His intent is not to say follow blindly but to give an outward appearance of compliance and then do what's right later on. He will whisper this to me when he sees my face start to turn red at the ridiculousness of some suggestions; it both calms me down and makes me laugh.
And the moral of this story, kids:
People who wake up really, really early to get an iProduct are not crazy. They understand that a difference of about an hour can mean a waiting time of one to two weeks. Depending on the popularity, of course.
