Motog.. He has a point... Dont brush it off like it is nonsense.
Apple biggest growth will come from people who dont use apple products yet.. and apple is choosing to leave them out of the live presentation.
Definitely does not compute... But then again who knows what their thinking behind this is ! .??

Apple has created a culture of exclusivity. You're either with Apple or not, so it makes sense for the live stream to work with Apple products only.

People who don't have Apple products are like outsiders intrigued and enticed by the Apple culture.

Old Apple: Very little hype and then at the end, "just one more thing"...and unveiling of a revolutionary product by SJ.

New Apple: Lots of hype and then .... unveiling of new Emoji's, refinements to "look and feel" of OS, minor spec bumps, elimination of "old" I/O ports, more social network integration, and more cloud tie-ins.

I pray I am wrong.....

Let's hope you are. I don't want the 6 to be a 5s with a A8. Then they'll talk how they 'redifined the smartphone industry'.

So, that temp building next to the theater? I'm thinking a temporary Apple Store with 1) A chance for journalists to try the new payment options and 2) showcasing a new design and layout by Angela Ahrendts on how the new line of watches will be sold in store.

Oh come on, try out a payment system? Like press a button and see it say "Accepted"? lol

Working from home Thursday this week due to staffing, but I will be back before 5pm, with beer in hand, and a phone call to a pizza place not far away.

7pm would be better though, so I have extra time to get the lube ready.

Wait... What?!

hahaa. That post was going so well.

Anyone else nervous about how much hype there is? Seems like the hype machine is in full effect.

Yea, I just hope my Apple shares don't crash by 10% because Tim Cook doesn't fart out golden eggs while on stage before introducing the aliens who will fly in from Alpha Centauri to bring the iWatch, accompanied by a three-headed Steve Jobs clone, riding on a unicorn dragon which spews fire that cures cancer and turns tree leaves into bacon.

Hi,

I don't post on here often but the hype is well and truly with me in the UK. Just hope work goes quick tomorrow so get to see event just after I finish work :)

One question, not that it applies to me as I can watch it fine.

But, it still puzzles me, as, on the face of it, it appears like Apple behaving like a child.

Why does it restrict the even to those with Apple computers running Safari?

Why not just stream it in the clear for everyone?

Is there a reason, other then being childish and petty?

Can you imagine say Microsoft only streaming to PC's running Internet Explorer?

I'm curious.

Because there will be enough iOS/OSX devices trying to watch it there won't be the bandwidth :D

A lot of hype being built up for this. Don't disappoint Apple. Don't let the iWatch just be something that relies entirely too much on the phone.
