Tim Cook's taste is bad.
Tim Cook does not make these ads. Why does everyone assume that the CEO of Apple is responsible for every little detail of Apple? I doubt either CEO was even good at making ads.
Tim Cook's taste is bad.
Apple never used "famous" people in their ads until this year or so. Most ads don't have "famous" people in them. It's a waste to use famous people "just because they can afford it".
Exactly. I enjoyed the ads simply because Rey are new. They aren't too tacky and are cute and have a good charm. I think some people are just not a fan of change.
Who are you to tell Apple what's "un-Apple like"?
What are you talking about? Justin Long, hello?
I prefer these to the celebrity ads. Much better. I'm tired of the whole Siri angle, there is so much more to Apple and their hardware/software than Siri.
These are pretty horrid, this would have never made it onto the air in the Steve Jobs era.
does the iphone on the night table (labor day ad) look like an iphone 4s? i think it looks bigger and thinner.![]()
Exactly. The appeal of a Mac is that it's easy to use, it's for the everyday person. If they're so easy, why do they need 24hr genius support? What these ads say to me: Macs aren't easy to figure out, especially when you need them most.
Seriously, these commercials were cute![]()

There are plenty of bizarre and just plain bad Apple ads that were around in the "Steve Jobs era"
The "Basically" ad with the fake Mac in it reminds me of the HP Envy, the MacBook Pro duplicate
I don't see why people are getting upset about these ads. They're not bad, but I think they should have shown the Mac more instead of the Apple Genius.

And it is not a waste to use famous people to promote a product, have you been living under an advertising rock your whole life? Why do you think those crappy Beats headphones sell, it aint anything to do with mediocre quality, its marketing with Dre, Gaga, etc.
Also, probably before you were born (wikipedia) -
"In the 1990s Apple started the "What's on your PowerBook?" campaign, with print ads and television commercials featuring celebrities describing how the PowerBook helps them in their businesses and everyday lives."
